Two years, for most men, is a long time. People die, governments crash and burn, babies are born, and wars rage on across the world. 48 months can change a person quite significantly, for better or for worse.

This was especially true for me. When I last logged off this site, I was a nerdy, awkward, bookish ditz who religiously watched Doctor Who and Star Trek, wrote B-list stories and blogs, and submitted half-stolen skins (of which I regret doing). Now I'm a 16, almost 17 year old boy who has abandoned the Doctor and the Enterprise for Morrison Hotel and Brian Wilson.

I was sick of being part of a fandom that consisted of a bunch of Tumblr feminists who worship British men religiously and believe that David Tennant is some kind of God, and I was sick of a show that eventually evolved into something too heavy-handed, politically speaking. More importantly, I was sick of this site because I felt it was from a bygone era. Minecraft has evolved into a literal meme where people associate the game with melodramatic children who call you a cheater if you cream them in a poorly-coded match of PvP.

Consequently, I left PMC, and what I once held dear to my heart was voluntarily purged from my person. I stopped wearing my Fourth Doctor scarf and my Captain Kirk hoodie I once loved like how a parent would love their child. I stopped playing Fable III and GTA V, and played Fallout in place of them, blown away by how I did not invest myself into the game series earlier in my life. I started listening to the Beach Boys and the Doors, neglecting the Beatles and the cringy Doctor Who theme remixes I had once obsessed over. I got rid of all the pictures I had printed out and drawn that were from Doctor Who and Star Trek, replacing them with a Revolutionary-era flag and multiple Fallout and Beach Boys posters.

I had evolved socially, too. I started hanging out with my friends more, and I've had two girlfriends within the past year. I started embracing 70's fashion and the smart casual look as opposed to wearing my worn-out Ghostbusters jacket and a pair of cheap sweatpants along with my now-too-small galaxy-patterned Converses. And believe it or not, but I unironically supported Donald Trump this past election (if it happened today, I would've hypothetically voted for Rand Paul or Austin Petersen).

I still do watch Doctor Who on rare occasions, and even then, I only watch the classic series (because the new one sucks). In fact, my skin is a very accurate recreation of the Sixth Doctor (he's still my favorite, even though I barely watch him anymore). And I still do play Minecraft and the aforementioned games on equally uncommon occurrences, mostly because I want to reminisce on a more innocent and naive time.

Did all these things happen because I left a relatively obscure, politically-correct website about the most popular game of all time? Probably not. Did anybody really care that I was absent from this site for two years? Maybe. But I have come to terms with my past and what it was centered around, and I'm slowly rediscovering the things I busied myself with. But I always tell myself that all good things come to an end, but great things have new beginnings.
