Name Changing?

You may have noticed that many people want to change their IGN names in minecraft. You may be one of them. After all, they didn't know that the minecraft login ID would be the same as their character name in actual gameplay. Here are some pros and cons.
PROS
LESS CRAPPY NAMES. A lot of people have names consisting only of numbers, and they would like to change them. It is understandable that they would want to take this action.
HAPPIER PEOPLE. This topic has been in debate for awhile and people want to change their names. Period. They email Notch about it, and yet he cannot really do anything about it.
(for Notch) LESS EMAILS. Many people email Notch asking for name changes. But if you think about it, he can't get to them all. Most of the emails now would most likely be about changing names than actual support issues. It might be irritating to try to help people with technical difficulties and have to scroll through a bunch of name change requests.
SAFER SERVERS. Okay, this is kinda a pro and a con. If people changed their names, they might have a better name that is easier to remember. Maybe from 109481 to Toenails or something. It's easier to ban dangerous people when they have an easy to remember name.
CONS
DANGEROUS SERVERS. People can just grief, change their name, and not get banned at all for their malicious actions. This is a continuous problem and the primary reason why not all people want name changes. Even if you kick people using their minecraft login ID, how would you know what it is? They might not tell you. They could just log on, grief, log off, and name change.

What are your opinions on this topic? The purpose of this blog is a sort of survey. Maybe I can let Notch know what most people think about it. After all, Mojang is already trying to implement name changes.
