Need help with server :L

Ok, so I've seen enough posts of people asking someone else to set up a server for them. So, taking the hint, I went ahead and tried to set up my own.

I can run a server fine, what I need it to do it run a co-op adventure map. I'm not asking for someone to do it for me, but I've spent the last 45 minuites researching and have come up empty handed. Mabey I'm just naturally awful at this.

So, can anyone give me some pointers, or a link to a good server manager/ setup tool?? I've got to learn to do this myself one way or another though >.<
