Notch, one of the two most talkative designers behind the breakout indie success, Minecraft, has posted a small update to his blog concerning the current status of the next update. Minecraftnnn 1.8 is going to be massive with more than 40 changes planned. nnMoreover,n ito s become known as the Adventure Update because of the nnstyle of ncontent and gameplay changes within the patch itself.

Accordingnn to Notch, he and Jeb (the other of the two most talkative ndesigners), nnhave elected to keep a bulk of the changes due in 1.8 a nsecret. nnHowever, theyo ve slowly been leaking screenshotsnnn and suggestive tidbits to keep us interested and to keep themselves nnnfrom going bonkers. Last week saw two new images surface that showed nnnboth NPC villages and ruins.

In a post on The Word of Notch, Minecraftnnn 1.8 is labelled o Coming Soon.o The article boasted the epic logo you nnnsee above, and a roster of 1.8 details revealed to-date. Hereo s that nnnlist:

• NPC villages
  
• Randomly generated dungeons
  
• New biome code
  
• Fully working Creative Mode (and individual admins can enter Creative Mode on a Survival Mode server if they choose)
  
• Critical hits
  
• Sprinting
  
• More farming options
  

Sprinting and critical hits mark some of the more mechanical changes to the gameplay. Notch explained sprinting briefly on Google+;nnn double tap forward to run. He was looking for a downside to the nnnsprinting, but did not indicate what it would be. Critical hits may naddn nspice to fighting thato s always been a little dry.

Now, nthis isn just us hoping and guessing, but look at that logo nabove. nConsider then notion of being able to hold a torch in your offhandn nwhile exploring ncaverns. Youo d constantly have a light source. Maybe nnone that expired nover time, sure, but it would be great to keep that nnlight with you nalways. It could be that the sword in one hand, torch nin nthe other lookn above was drawn simply for artistic purposes. But wen can ndream, right?

NPC Villages - itn will be a very rare villages arond the map of minecraft. all the nvillagers will be pigmans and if you will steal something from them theyn will atak you (not the guy you stole from ... the whole village!)

Randomly Generated Dungeons - very simple. dungeons will be generated randomly even while you playing

New Biome Code - have no idie

Fully Working Creative Mod - it will be a creative mod just like the clasic but it will include many more blocks

Critical Hits - Ifn you will hit a monster on the head it will deal extra damage which is nawesome becuse in case we need to kill a creeper or in the next update nEnderman we will be able to kill this guys more easier before they hit nus


Sprinting - if we will duble click W we will run faster

More Farming Options - we dont know yet what exectly he means but we think it will be more kinds of stuff can grow in our farm

Endermann - will be an exremly tall and scary monster thet will atak you once youn turn your back. if the point of your mouse will look at the enderman hen will turn around and look at you and once you will turn around he will ntry to kill you if you will turn your back to him and than look again nyou will see him alot closer. it will be the next creeper
