….After the candles somehow re-ignited themselves much to Trot’s fascination, the whole group stood up from their chairs in a rush.

“IT’S YOU!” Greief pointed his entire arm and an angry finger at Blue who stood diagonally across from him to the left. “DON’T LIE TO ME, BLUEBOY, WE ALL KNOW YOU’VE BEEN QUIET THIS WHOLE TIME.”

“I’m about to say something-.” Blue replied lifting a finger. “I said ‘Howdy!’ when we arrived.”
Greief fumed, “That doesn’t count! Everyone said something when we arrived.”

The argument quickly escalated as everyone had an accusation to make or questions to ask. Chaos was pelting Trot with questions like an attorney, Greief was threatening to kill Blue which was a horrible thing to mention in this situation, Whisper was freaking out because she didn’t want to die, Ender was screaming “I told you so!” over everyone’s conversation, Shadow was trying to calm everyone down, Robin was reminding her that there were two murderers in the room and it was impossible for anyone to stay calm, and Converses took the opportunity to sample dishes from the all panicking PMCer’s plates. Someone threw something at a window which did not break. Afap removed himself from the room.

———

Afap had remained quiet most of the evening. He was a creature of simplicity; not caring for loud expressions of opinion- or rather- death threats. He made his way out of the ruckus and into the slightly quieter hallway which was layered with ambient lighting and a luxurious red and yellow carpet.
Well now hallways are just boring.
Deciding to entertain himself by a window, he strode over to the nearest glass frame.
Ah, freedom, life, how soon I wish I could return to you. But I have a job now: survival. Man, this just sucks.

He attempted the latch. Locked. He tried breaking the glass with a side-table leg. It relented once more. Afap sighed and dropped his shoulders with an abused table-leg in his hand. He stared out into the darkening world for awhile. After nothing inspiring came to his mind, he peeled his eyes from the window. As he did, a dark, cloaked figure darted from the forest which grew across from the manor. Afap froze. The figure was making it’s way towards the manor steps- quickly. Something metallic glinted near the figure’s face in the rising moonlight. The form climbed the steps. Afap couldn’t see, but he assumed the shady humanoid had knocked on the door since the familiar cheery voice of the pink secretary echoed softly through the walls.
Her welcome was cut off abruptly.

Afap’s eyes grew wide. Did she just —no. Is this one of the killers? Was someone else invited?
He fished around in his coat for his cellphone. It was gone. He’d sworn that he kept his phone- he panically felt around all of his pockets- where was it?
Just wonderful.

He grunted and took it upon himself to find out who had arrived so untimely at the Manor. Gazing back at the dining hall doorway where the angry voices of his friends were projecting, he thought it best that he get away on his own daring adventure.

It took the group about thirteen minutes to realize the disappearance of Afap. Blue was the first to notice after firing back several smart remarks at Greief.
“Guys. Afap is gone.”
“Oh yeah? Nice try, liar. You ain’t getting off that easy.” Greief puffed.
Shadow elbowed him in his side. He growled.

“No seriously, he left.” Blue repeated.

“Good for him.” Robin remarked.

“EVERYONE JUST STOP TALKING!” Chaos projected from an awkward position on a chair.
There was one mild moment of silence.

“No.” Robin smirked the only way someone with a TV as a head could.

“Just try to be quiet for at least the rest of the night, please, I don’t ask for much.” Chaos pleaded.

“You little-“ Robin’s volume was quickly depleted by Converses.

“I volunteer to find Afap!” Shadow said with annoyed positivity in her tone.

“I’ll go with you!” Ender and Whisper shouted together after Shadow.
The three endermen rushed out of the room without another word.

“Oh- ok.” Chaos had lost dominance over the conversation and removed himself from his soapbox chair.

“Well, I sure ain’t staying here with this freak.” Blue waved a hand at Greief and quickly escorted himself out of the dining hall.
This left Trot, Greief, Chaos, Robin, and Converses.

“Team?” Trot asked hopefully.
Greief glared but Chaos accepted the offer. A ticked Robin walked out on his own followed by Converses.

“Join us, Greief.” Chaos motioned to him. “Less chance of untimely death when we’re in a group.”

“What if you two are the killers?”

“That’s unlikely since you are absolutely certain it’s Blue, comrade.”

“I hate this. I’m going to die surrounded by idiots.”

”You said it, not me.”

———

Blue was unconcerned as he lumbered through a dark, unlit hallway. He was strangely calm despite the circumstances- except for one thought; he had to find Afap— before anyone else did. He searched the halls quickly and quietly.

He prepared to round a dark corner when he saw a dim light approaching. It was the glitchy head of Robin along with the bubbly footsteps of Converses.

Blue dipped behind a tapestry. He did not care to interact with either of them at the moment, besides, they were probably plotting his demise. The pair came closer and the light from Robin’s head illuminated the hall dimly. Blue worried the gaze would fall upon his slick shoes which stuck out underneath the rug. That would certainly give away his position. Panicking, he felt around the wall behind the tapestry. His hand fell on a pocket door latch. He pulled it quietly and slipped behind into a secret passage away from possible danger.

The passage was poorly lit and reeked of mold. It was old, frigid, and obviously forgotten. He followed the narrow hall of stone around multiple corners and finally came to a door which had a vent he could see through. The door was incognito from the other side as it was wallpapered the match the surrounding walls.

Crouching to see through the other side, he found himself staring into a sitting parlor which was furnished with intricate couches, tables, delicate trinkets, and another roaring fireplace. Someone was standing by the fire… It was Afap! But he wasn’t alone. Shadow, Whisper, and Ender had just appeared in the hallway and rushed to greet him.

“You shouldn’t be here.” Afap had a warning in his tone. “It’s not safe to stray from the herd, there is another with us who came with bad intentions.”

“We’re not alone, there’s three of us…. But why are you here alone?“ Shadow asked. “And who else is here?”

“I’m not alone.” Afap turned his face to the incognito door and seemingly stared into Blue’s soul through the vent.

“I-“
A loud masculine screech filled the entire house. The noise was filled with pain and agony- as if they were being tortured alive.

It sounded as if it had come from the dining hall. Afap and the endermen dashed out of the parlor and ran through the halls with great speed. They were, in fact, so frightened, so suddenly jolted into action, that they did not immediately notice one of their members fall behind. It was Whisper who halfway through the halls observed the absence of Ender. She stopped mid stride, nearly tripped on a rolled section of carpet, and skidded to an unbalanced halt.

“Ender’s gone!” She cried out to Afap and Shadow.
But they were too distracted by the agonized screaming and didn’t hear her or bother to stop.

She whimpered alone in the dark as her friends left her.

The girl turned around and began searching for her pale companion. Ender and Whisper hadn’t known each other very well from the start, but they had bonded over simple fascinations and stupid jokes in the field and at dinner. She hoped no ill deeds had befallen him and rushed back to the parlor.

But when she arrived just outside the doorway, she was bewildered. She cupped both hands over her mouth and cried out.

Whisper stood over the limp body of Ender who was splayed on his stomach in the passageway just outside the room. There was a switchblade embedded in his back, and the secret passage door stood ajar, revealing itself and emitting a cool breeze.

Huh-- I'm trying to look throughout clues in Trotelot's story so far- so- both of the murderers have "synchronized footsteps" (Part 1) (This eliminates blackconverses and TheGlitchedRobin, whom when entering had unsynchronized footsteps), both are male (part 1) (This eliminates all females), one of the murderers is strangely calm (part 1) (Hinting towards me), the calm one is finely dressed (part 1) (could also hint towards me- as of in this part it describes me as struggling to hide with my slick shoes). Huh... A lot of the evidence is... its well---

not putting me in a good spot right now....
