ODST Situation (Chapter 2)

CHAPTER 2

Ron awoke the next morning ready for the mission. He grabbed his sword and headed to the armory where he took his gun, some tnt, and a couple of torches. He headed to the deck where General Grip was prepping the soldiers for their mission.
(General Grip) "Marines, this is the moment you've all been waiting for. The day when you get to prove yourself in battle. Some of you will be cowards that run for cover o some of you will be idiots that run strait into enemy fire thinking your doing your planet a good deed. We don't have the time or money for either of those kind of people.
What we need is an army of heroes! An army of people that know how important their missions will be, and how important it truly is to make sure everyone comes home safely. Now let's get moving soldiers!"
(Mary) "You got anyone special waiting for you at home? Someone to hold onto in war?"
(Ron) "Something like that."
(Mary) "I used to have someone. But he didn't care about me enough to wait for me. Turns out he was just a selfish jerk."
(Ron) "Common, the missions about to start."
(Mary) "Good luck." She said as she smiled.
All the marines and ODSTs headed to their stations. There would be three groups. Squad 1 is the ODSTs heading directly into the main enemy ship. Their squad is lead by Captain Dare. Squad 2 will be the ODSTs that sabotage the enemy's communication system so they can't call for reinforcements. Squad 2 will be lead by Captain Boar, a spartan. The final squad is squad 3. Their mission is to also distract the enemy from seeing squad 2. They attack the main base once the communications system is destroyed. They will be flying by pelicans. (large soldier transporting ships)
Squad 3 will be lead by Commander Grip. And now, the mission begins. The drop pods launched. Everything was going according to plan, until Squad 1 missed their target! they went straight for the city below. They were going to be trapped in huge army of Covenant!
[General Grip (com link)] "This is General Grip to all forces! Squad 1 has missed the target, I repeat; squad 1 has missed the taro ¦aho ¦it's on theo ¦GET IT OFF MEo ¦AHHHH!"
[Marine (com link)] "Squad 3 is down, I repeat; squad 3 is down! The UNSC Battle Frigate was forced to leave the planet's surface and get back into orbit. There was a traitor on the inside. Be careful!"
(Captain Boar) "Come on, let's move. We have to get to the communications system before the Covenant sends reinforcements to fininsh the UNSC Frigate. If that gets destroyed, we'll never get off this rock."
(Ron) "Wait, what about squad 3?"
(Captain Boar) "What about squad 3?"
(Ron) "The Covenant is probably going to send some units over to our crash sites. If you don't rescue them, then the remaining wounded soldiers wouldn't stand a chance."
(Captain Boar) "We don't have the time or the ammunition to go on a rescue mission for soldiers that are probably already dead. There's also the fact that 3 outposts separate us from their crash site, so how do you plan on getting to them? We have to go destroy the communications system before they find out we got an entire fleet sitting defenseless on the other side of the planet. Now let's go."
Captain Boar slowly walks toward the direction of the Communications Center of Defense. The other ODSTs begin to follow him.
(Ron) "Would you really leave your Commander behind? Or is it just the fact that you're the traitor!"
(Captain Boar) "If anyone here is a traitor it's you!"
(Mary) "Guys! No ones the traitor, okay. Stop this where all on the same teao ¦"
There was a giant explosion. One of the ODSTs was hit. His leg was badly wounded and he wasn't going to be able to walk.
(Ron) "MINE FIELD! No one move! We're lucky that one explosion didn't cause a hole chain reaction."
(Captain Boar) "Well we can't just wait here like sitting duo ¦"
(Captain Boar) "What the fuck?"
(Ron) "Wasn't me."
(Captain Boar) "Who keeps moving?"
(Fred) "Ah! My leg!"
(Mary) "Run!"
(Link) "What? But Ron saido ¦"
(Mary) "No! They aren't mines! They're grenades!"
(Link) "Ron 12 o'clock!"
Ron swung around and shot a grunt right in the head!
(Grunt) "Run away! Ah!"
(Brute) "Kill the demons!"
(Fred) "Oh crap!"
A huge Brute ran up and bashed Fred's head off with an iron sword.
(Ron) "Here we go!"
The four remaining ODSTs all fired at the brute's chest.
(Brute) "Curse you demons!"
(Link) "This is for Fred you stupid brute!"
(Mary) "Link no!"
Link through a grenade straight at the brute!
(Captain Boar) "Dammit Link! We needed that ammunition! He was already dead! You can't function on emotions! This is war! Are you listening to me!"
Boar lifted Link into the air with one hand!
(Mary) "Boar no!"
(Captain Boar) "It's Captain Boar to you!"
Ron hit Captain Boar on the head with a near by stone spade.
(Mary) "Ron! What have you done?"
(Ron) "He'll be fine. He's only unconscious."
(Link) "We'll now what are we suppose to do?"
[Marine (com link)] (cough) "This is one of the survivors of squad three. (cough) Is anyone there? We have Commander Grip. I repeat; Commander Grip is alive! I'm transferring his signal to you now."
(Ron) "No, wait!"
[Commander Grip (com link)] "Captain Boar, report on your mission. What's your status?"

This story can go two ways. I'm going to let the fans make a decision. Should squad 2 try to save squad 3, or should they continue their mission to stop enemy forces from calling reinforcements to destroy our frigates?
