One beautiful night, a chilly one as well, the settlers of a beatiful village in the desert were circled around a rectangle not filled in but it was just missing one block. There was a man with brown hair, blue jeans, and a turqouise shirt. His name was Steve. Now Steve didn't realize how important it was to place this last piece of obsidion. Steve himself dobuted that this was even worth his time, but the citizens demanded he place the last block. There were soldiers all perched around this area with bows and diamond armour and swords. Steve thought "What was the worst that could happen here." He was in for a treat.

"Place it Steve, one, last, block." said Mio, the village leader.

Steve proclaimed , "I...don't...know...if I...can."

Mio leaned in real close and said, "You need to do this, we have been working on this forever, we can't back down."

Steve knew how important all of this was, how big their village would be food for the children but what about all the people who will die over there, Steve's father always told him about the dangers in the Nether and how to NEVER go into there. As Steve's father passed away in the Nether. But with no doubt against his mind he placed the last block. There was a moment of silence, you could have heard a pin drop. Thete was a loud SWOOSH and the rectangle filled quickly with a purple thick air.

"Ooooooo, ahhhhhh," said the villagers.

"It's done! Finally! Let's go in!" said Mio.

All the villagers screamed in pure joy as a huge accomplishment  and Mio took a step towards the Nether portal. Steve could feel his stomach drop  just like when he saw his fellow peers bring his fathers casket into the grave. Steve couldn't belive what he had done.

Mio took a step towards the portal and screamed, "Here. We. Go!" As Mio took a step the portal made another SWOOSH noise and a pink and greenish leg took a step out of the portal. All of the mothers held there children tight and another leg popped out as well as a golden sword. The archers from above drew their bows and gaurds with swords stepped up as Mio stepped back. Everyone started scrammbling and ran to their houses.

A guard screamed, "PIGMEN!" and Pigmen started piling out of the portal, Ghast started flowing out of the portal destroying land and their houses. Mio ran back and handed me his sword and said, "Start fighting these things off!"

As Steve started fighting the Pigmen he thought about his dad and how he missed him and how he had to fight for him, for his name. More Ghast started piling out of the portal more and more, before Steve knew it a firey Ghast ball flew towards him and he couldn't get his sword up in time, it knocked him out cold and he laid in a crater memories piling about the times him and his father had, he shed a slight tear as he heard Pigmen and Ghast roar.

*6 HOURS LATER*

Steve fluttered his eyes open and blinked them a few times. He sat up and looked around, he saw the sword Mio gave him broken, into two pieces. He saw dead mothers and children holding eah other tight and rubble from the houses everywhere. Steve stood up and saw what had happend, he saw blood, rubble, the nether portal into pieces. He saw Mio laying there, limp slahes down his back. Steve fell to his knees, Mio was like his second father and there he was dead because of his lousy mistake of putting that last block on. Steve wondered if people ran off trying to find a nearby village but there was nothing, he knew nobody survived and he was the only survivor. Steve dropped to his knees and cried, he was on his own, all alone.
