A Rant On: Fake/Stolen Projects

One thing I've been noticing lately is the fact that there are increasing numbers in 'fake' projects posted. People post pictures from other world saves or other projects of theirs then uploading different projects that aren't even close to what's being shown for download.
My word of advice to those people who do this is:
STOP POSTING FAKE PROJECTS!!!! IT'S NOT FUNNY, NOT CUTE, AND HATED BY PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF! SO EITHER GROW UP, OR GET OFF PMC IF YOU'RE GOING TO KEEP DOING IT. NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS (AND NO, NOT YOUR BUTT)!!! ALSO STOP POSTING OTHERS' PROJECTS CLAIMING THEM AS YOURS!!
So please, if you're going to post projects, don't post lies just to get more exp.! You don't see the top posting people posting lies now do you? Cause I surely don't!
Just be warned: I have an acute memory when it comes to images, and I will report those who copy others' projects (I've got many friends who are mods!)
So for those of you who also do not put up with this, please assist with this and help prevent fraud and fake projects!Some mods that you can contact that I normally contact are found in the update logs.

So true i hate it when that happens plus sometimes they give viruses witch is MUCH worse

You missed one type of fake projects, ppl that make blogs about "I'm making this and that" which they end up by never doing.

Usually blogs that promise making weakly reviews or weakly youtube series, info blogs, stuff like that.

o ya, very true! but ya i'm not much of one to really read blogs anyways so that's why i missed that. but ya the one of mine ("the legend of ocean's horizon") is actually a legit one so no worries on that one, with the exception of the official release date probably being a little bit off (i may not be able to get it done in time for the latest date that i've set for myself due to arising issues)

I'm amazed how many comments I see on the fake texture packs, "Omg! How awesome! DL isn't working though, it takes me to an ad site, fix plz cuz i'm stoopid!"

Okay, that last bit is paraphrasing, but you get the idea... I've seen the same 4 pictures of an obviously fake texture pack go up on at least 9 different 'texture pack' uploads.

This is why the exp/leveling system is a complete failure. It promotes people posting crap so they might get a few views from it.

but when it is reported and removed, they then loose all that EXP.

You'd suffer through the same problem leveling system or not. Little kids want to look cool, and it is far to hard to actually try and do something amazing, so instead they try and take the easy way out, take credit for something they didn't do, and hope it makes them popular.
