Hey, Blade™ here for yet another blog but lately I've been noticing some decisions from server owners that are HORRIBLE.
So I'm gonna try to help c:
The Do's!
[1] Make sure you have a good spawn, by that I don't mean the spawn has to be perfect I mean that you should actually work on it, not spend a hour on it and give up.
[2] Make sure your spawns have enough space, if you are gonna need more space because you'e gonna add some extra things well make sure you have enough space, don't jumble things up.
[3] Make sure perms are good for each rank, by that I mean don't give moderators teleport, teleport here, or other OP commands. I suggest for moderators give them ban, tempban, kick, and mute.
[4] Make sure players are having fun! Ask the players if they are and if there is anything they want you to fix/remove/add.
[5] If one of the players wanna ask or tell you something, try to talk to them.
The Donts!
[1] The most important don't and I hate that I have to say this but I will, DON'T give OP. DO NOT GIVE OP.
[2] Don't advertise on other servers, usually only desperate servers do that so only advertise on sites (PMC, MCF, etc.)
[3] Don't just give staff, even if he/she is your friend, ALWAYS make people apply.
[4] Don't ignore players. I really shouldn't have to say that one but I've seen it happen.
[5] Don't half a** things (pardon my language :p), but make sure you finish your builds and other stuff.
