Hi guys! It's been a while since I've posted something, so I decided to lay out some pixel art tips for y'all!
TIP #1
Be prepared.
Making pixel art is a very long process, so I suggest you have something to eat/drink while making it. There are many things you may need for preparation, but I just can't think of any more than I know of.
TIP #2
Have a flat area ready.
If you want to build your pixel art in a default world, I suggest you clear an area so you have a flat surface to work with. If you are too lazy to clear it by hand, just use WorldEdit (if you have it installed or you are in multiplayer).
TIP #3
Get your picture up.
It is important to have a reference to work with, since it is the thing you want to recreate in Minecraft. Since you need to have it visible while you are building, you may need to minimize Minecraft into a smaller window to have the picture visible.
TIP #4
Get some music!
It's always nice to have some background music playing in the background to make the building process less boring. I suggest music that goes with the concept you are building (Example: If you are building Pokemon pixel art, listen to Pokemon music.).

Have assorted shades in your inventory.
Some pixel art requires heavy shading, so you don't always need to use wool. For example, if you are looking for different shades of gray, use stone! It's similar to gray, but not the same.

Improvise!
Nobody will notice if you are off a few pixels. For me, I mess up all the time! So I just improvise and it turns out great! It doesn't matter if your layering is off or one pixel is higher than the other, it just matters how much effort you put into it!

Share your work!
People love to see other people's work, especially fan made work, so share your project with the world! Post it on PlanetMinecraft. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I'm sure there are some people out there dying to see some amazing works!
