Hello there Dummies!! :D Today I will be teaching you the basics of PMC! This is for you new people on here. If you are over lvl. 3/4 i don't think you will learn anything from this post.
On PMC, you create a profile. From your profile you can post your skins, mods, texture packs, projects, servers and blogs.
This is your XP bar:

Your XP bar shows your progress on PMC. It shows your current XP and how much XP you need to next level.
XP:
You get XP per View and Download on everything you post.
You get XP per Diamond on everything you post.
You get XP per Comment on everything you post.
You also get a small amount XP for every post.
NOTE: When you reach lvl. 20 on PMC you can use Adfly to earn money for clicks on your links. ( see my post about ADFLY here: http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/how-to-make-money-with-adfly/ )
When you post a Project on PMC, it's very very important that the picture that will be showing first is a good picture. Often taken with HD textures or other texture packs. In some cases you can use photoshop to make it better. This is a VERY important stage.

If you are uploading skins, please use time on your skins. Noone downloads a skin that you used 5 minutes on. NEVER EVER repost someone elses work. They get mad, your XP gained on that post gets deleted and you get a bad reputation.

Never be mean. If you don't like a post, don't comment "That's a crap map" or "Don't download it". Think that someone actually put some work in that and respect them. Not everyone can build a Millennium Falcon or Notch's Temple, but om PMC everyone is welcome to share their work with the world. Not all things on here are equally cool or awesome :) That's the good thing about PMC. There is something for everyone.
