Subscriptions do not give xp points. They just tell that these people support you!
Subscribing can also tell them when you post
If you've ever used youtube, it's kind of like that.
You can post skins, texture packs, mods, blogs, and of course servers.
The term 'pop reel' means that you're featured on the front page. Being pop reel is a very rare thing, but if you work hard on the thing you are posting you can get it.
How do I make SKINS:
You can get a program such as gimp, photoshop, or mcskins, to make skins. I suggest mcskins because that is the one I use. Plan the skin, what do you want to do with it? Say you want to make a cookie skin. You can do that easily, if you planned it. It doesn't have to be perfect nor shaded. However I reccomend shading. (Tutorial here.) Then you post it.
How do I make BLOGS?:
Blogs are pretty simple to make. You plan out what idea you want. Be creative. Think. Teen skins? Nah it's been done many times. How minecraft is similar to legos? Thats it! Then you write and write!
How do I make PROJECTS?:
To make projects you plan what you want to do. (ex: castles, dirt houses, towns) You build what you want to build. You can make big projects or little. Just make sure you enjoy yourself whilst doing it. Then do the finishing touches and post it.

How to post your submission:
To post your submission click the button on the homepage of the thing you have made.
Click "Post your Mod/Texturepack/Skin//Project
For Skins: Press the file button and put your skin, hit save.
Projects: Put your world in mediafire or dropbox. Put the link to the download in the slot that says World Save.
Mods: Same as skin, just with mods.
Texturepacks: Same as mods/skins.
