PMC Info:

PMC has been getting a large amount of new users lately which is great, but it is also quite troublesome. As you may or may not have heard because of this, PMC will be taking in more users to become Moderators.

I know most of you are already giddy as if you have just received 100 dollars for doing nothing but you are getting the wrong idea. First and foremost, I'm sure you have heard this many times when people say that Moderating is not an easy job. When you hear that I guarantee that you think that people are just preventing you from wanting to be a Moderator. Which is completely not true. Moderating is in fact a very tedious and hard job. Even though we consider PMC a fun community site, there is some hard work that goes on everyday.

First off, the Site Moderators get over 600 reports everyday for all the submissions on PMC. 600 reports isn't something you can just finish up within five minutes. Some people (that are lazy) would just clear all the reports and say they are done. However, that just gets you no where and solves no problems. That's what makes Moderating hard. It's just like homework, you could either look up all your answers on Google and not learn from it at all, or you can take the time and deal with doing all the problems yourself and learning from it.

Second, Moderators have to make tough decisions at some points too that many people won't be happy with. If a Moderator can't handle the trash that people will say behind their back or even to them in a PM then they definitely cannot be Moderators because as a person of higher authority, you need to be the bigger person and just ignore their remarks or if you have to reply, do not insult them back because that does not make you any better.

How You Can Possibly Become A Moderator:

Now that I cleared all that up, it's time to get what I'm sure most of you want to know. How can you become a Moderator. It's very simple. Be active, be helpful and keep trolling to a minimum. There is no "application" that you take to become a Moderator, else PMC would be hectic. Cyprezz chooses people that he feels or we feel are doing a great job as a user and they are very active. I am not guaranteeing that any of you that are reading this will be Moderators but I'm just letting you all know.

So go ahead and spread this information with your friends as I'm sure they would like to know and please do not get your hopes up because if you don't become a Moderator, you will end up hating the site for no good reason.

Thanks for reading.

which is harder: being a site mod, or doing what it takes to become one?

I can imagine both; I'm attempting one(the latter).

I'd really love to apply to be a chat moderator. I've been frequenting it often and feel I need to give something back to it.

Okay, what I've learnt from Paril regarding getting moderator status is: post epic skinning program and ask for mod.

Young Paril wasn't aware that chat mods are below members. Poor, poor Paril.
