Basic Overview

Have you ever wished that how you start a game would be different, or that punching trees would make your fists bloody, or maybe a way to upgrade yourself? This game will add Stones and nomads to the game, along with other features. You start off normally but you can upgrade yourself. Also, kiss your wood punching days goodbye. There's a new way to get wood.

In The Beginning

This mod would be more based on how you survive in the game. When you start, you start with nothing like always. Your first instinct is to collect wood, but that's where this would change the game. Instead of punching wood like a crazed maniac with anger issues, you wold have to first make a special tool. So the first thing you do is find a rock (which would naturally spawn on the ground and might look like buttons) and a stick (naturally falling from leaf blocks when they are broken) and create a rock axe (this would be created by putting a stick and a rock in your inventory crafting table. But the normal recipes would work for sword, pick, shovel, and hoe) then you can finally chop down that majestic tree. You would also be able to throw stones at animals. It would work like snowballs but cause more damage. You can also pick the stones back up after you throw it.

New Way To Use XP.

Which brings up the next topic: as you collect xp. you can use it to upgrade your ability. Instead of enchanting you could choose to upgrade your technique to cause more damage or mine faster, or run faster ect.. There would be an extra button on the inventory that you would press to select your technique and level that you can buy, But be careful unlike a sword all the levels will go away once you die.

New Mobs

There will also be other nomads that you come across. They would spawn like any other mob, just roaming around the world. Depending on your actions (and the mobs actions) you will either team up or become enemies and try to kill each other. You will be able to give them stuff. There will be different ages and genders of nomads that will determine what you can do with them. Sense we all know who Steve is and we can infer that he is male you might be able to have children with female nomads that have enough trust in you. After a while depending on what you give your followers they will develop professions. The people with the given professions will follow you depending on what you are doing. For example: if you place many blocks consecutively a person with a building profession might fill in boxes you create. Or if you mine in a straight line long enough a person with a mining profession will continue mining in that line you created. You will also be able to assign "homes" for people so that you don't lose them. (there will be a max of 8 followers or something like that) Also to take things that a follower mined themselves you would have to give them a currency (probably gold nuggets) to take their own items. You would also have to supply followers with the materials appropriate for their professions. For good measure the followers will have relatively low health compared to you so it will be hard to accumulate a lot of them quickly. You followers will NOT obtain the technique you gave your self.

all

(Sadly when you die these little guys

will leave you. Making you have to

find new followers if you want any.)

Smaller Features

Those are the main feature of the mod but there will be a few smaller features:
  • To use a furnace you will have to surround coal in a crafting table with sticks (coal in middle 8 stick around it) to use a kindling. After that you will be able to put regular coal in the furnace as long as the "fire" (a bar that will run out if it is not stocked with fuel) is out.
  • If you plant apples like trees, then when it grows it will be a tree with triple the chance of dropping apples.
  • Vines may break while climbing up them.
  • Beacons will effect followers.
  • Chickens will jump higher.
  • Swimming will be faster.
  • If cobble is left in a swamp biome it will eventually (after a long while) turn into mossy cobble.

Animals will tend to group, but when you get near them they will scatter.

That's about it. I hope you agree that this is a good idea.

I don't know if the image is working, and this laptop is not the best so i need feedback about the picture of the nomad skin.

The sticks would naturally fall out of trees. Also I have never played spore except a ds version that my brother borrowed 2 years ago.

How would you make a rock axe to get wood without any sticks from wood? Also, is this at all inspired by spore?
