proof. I took this to prove my skin has no transparent in it. I keep trying to upload my skin but it says something about trancparacy so i hope someone can fix this problem thanks :D Oh also if you cant fix it. does it really matter if ur skin has some trancparacy in it :/ like really, at least I dont really think it matters. Any way it says this whenever I try and upload stuff. Invalid Skin : Detected transparency in the body of the skin. This will show black in the game. Fix and reupload.

More like this

  Have something to say?

Is it uploading to minecraft.net? i just did a test before with a mostly (95%) transparent skin and it seems to upload fine. Aside from the black colouring it does with all transparent non alpha parts, it played fine in game with no crashes. I've done that here on occassion and it doesn't throw up errors either, and they just appear transparent as it should, though not as intended as it won't display in game correctly as the trans gets blacked out.

As a solution, I'd create a layer (if you use an editing program such as Photoshop) and place it at the bottom, fill it completely with a solid black and cut out a hole for where the transparent alpha area usually is. Don't worry about it affecting your existing skin as the skin will be on top of all this, putting the Head Accessory texture where you intend it to be. The reason for this is so that any transparent areas won't be able to show up due to being filled with a solid colour. I've had issues with recent uploads of random holes in my skins caused by a 1-5% transparency which I couldn't see.

Hope that helps, if you're still having issues perhaps some additional explanation, or you can send me your skin to have a look at.

Hate this stupid submit button making my huge comments disappear... lol Ctrl+C before submit!

I think I've been checking Skincraft made skins recently, at least to sort out this transparency issue. There seems to be an area around the body and leg parts which causes the whole mess. But it doesn't quite work properly anyway as I get 3 results; A) successful upload B) Denied upload due to transparency issues C) crashed upload, the kind that just sits, pouts and wonders what it's supposed to be doing.

This looks to be a recent addition to the PMC upload as earlier you used to be able to do so, be it accidental or intentional. I think it's so they can weed out the 'incomplete skins' from the complete. But it needs to work properly first.

Try using MCSkin3D to see if it solves your problems.
