It's come to my attention recently that there seems to have been a sudden influx of people creating blogs just to fish for sympathy. These come in various forms, with titles like "My worst day ever" or "The time I nearly died...". These blogs really server no purpose other than to get sympathy for the writer. And by people feeling sympathy, they comment, diamond and whatever else, giving the person XP. If you've come through a major experience like that, and at the end all you can think to yourself is "I can get people to feel bad for me with this", then somethings quite obviously wrong.
The second problem with these is that they attract trolls like moths to light. Nothing is juicier bait to a hardened troll than someone recounting the problems in their life. Then you end up with someone harassing you and laughing about the problems in your life. Now even though a mod will be able to ban these people fairly rapidly, its still not a nice thing to happen to you is it?
The third problem is that sometimes these events haven't even happened. You make up an event that happened to you and post it on the internet, and someone WILL figure it out. It may not be straight away, but eventually you will make a mistake and leave a gaping whole in your story, and when they do, you wil be marked as a fraud and most likely lose the trust of most of the people on the site.
Anyway, that's me done for the day. I know it's not done on a week-by-week basis anymore, but I can't think of any names more catchy. Feel free to leave one in the comments if you think you know of a better one.

Sometimes, you need people to tell you that they are happy that you're OK, so don't judge people for attention seeking.
