In the realm of Minecraft, servers are essential. They are how we play, work, and connect with each other, with many types of servers to chose from. Some servers offer many mini-games and others let you survive on your own. But one kind isn't as fun or exciting: the creative server. I'm not saying the idea isn't good, heck it is great. People can go around their chunk of empty land and make whatever they want, and others can explore these amazing builds. Yet, it didn't turn out that way.
When I first went on a creative server, I was horrified. The text was scrolling up so fast, I literally couldn't read my own message. The chat was in all caps and would say, "TPA FOR AWESEM SKIN CONTES!!!11!1". I decided to look at these "contests" and saw that they were shallow judgement games over skins. Meanwhile, there were these "Head Shops" were players just exchanged player heads. And lastly, there were the RP's. These were really dumb and hopeless role-playing characters from "My Little Pony" to "South Park".
The problem with all of these is the loss of spirit. Minecraft isn't about heads, skins, or Role-playing...it's about creating for all to see. Sadly, most of the creations were for either the contests or the head shops. And there is even sexual content in there as well. All of the players may not be kids, but they certainly can't all be 20-something bachelors by the way they type. These servers have changed from a cool idea into a horrible moshpit of attention seeking, shallow people who either can't play the game right, or talk to people right.
If anyone reading this sees this stuff on their server, please help make this stuff stop, for they are the reason people in general think Minecraft is childish.

It's about playing how you want because it's a sandbox game. No one needs to be restricted from enjoying a joking RP or trading some heads, heads are pretty neat decorations anyhow.
