RANT/RAGE: Slang

Ok, so I'm going to come straight of here, and say I do use slang. Only when I speak, or on minecraft servers. Even then it's not much, things like ain't and gonna. But I think we've got so much stupid slang to fill up a dictionary and a half. First of all, what gets on my nerves is when people use slang that doesn't even sound remotely like the word it means. Stuff like 'lairy' or 'peng'. I mean, lairy? Where the hell did that come from? Lair? What? And peng too, it sounds a lot like penguin or pong, but it actually means sexy? What has happened to the dictionary? Whoops, there it goes, out the window. All you need to do to look at the effects of this is go onto urban dictionary.com. Seriously, they find about 50 different variations of a CENSORED. Careful, when you click on that link above, it may corrupt your mind and turn you into a slang-robot. What is it doing to the new generation of children as well? I can pick about 5 people in my class that may grow up and be a gang member. Everyone's favourite phrase seems to be is 'You gettin' lairy'. I really hate that word. With more people using slang, what is going to happen to spelling? 10 years from now, will we be writing books in text speak?
