For those of you that don't know what this is, you're missing out!

Roleplaying, by wikipedia's definition is: Role-playing refers to the changing of one's behaviour to assume a role, either unconsciously to fill a social role, or consciously to act out an adopted role.
My definition would be: Acting out a character that you choose. There is not script, you can do whatever actions you want! (That are not powergaming, which is forcing actions upon another's character and doing something that is impossible.)

So, why roleplay, you ask? Well, I'll tell you!
It is extremely fun, in my opinion, to roleplay because of all of the different choices you can make and the variety of minecraft servers. For example: The Lord of the Craft ( Website: www.lordofthecraft.net ), probably the biggest RP server in minecraft, is a medieval theme with inspiration from The lord of the rings, Skyrim/TES, as well as real-life history. You can be a thief, mage, swordsman, blacksmith, adventurer, lumberjack, city guard, mercenary, assassin, sailor, and the list goes on! There are even kharajyr, a race inspired by the khajiit of the elder scrolls series, but a bit different.

However, what some people think is a Con to roleplaying on minecraft servers, is having to apply. Some people believe that it's too hard to get accepted, annoying to write an app, etc etc. I myself thought those same thoughts when I applied to all the RP servers that I've been on but after I got onto the server and RPed for a little while, I realized that it was totally worth it! I find tons of enjoyment in RP and I'm sure you will as well.

So what are you waiting for? Find yourself a roleplaying server and join it today, I'm sure that you won't regret it.
