Twas a day in December, a day to remember, when Sam was born again. It was Steve you see, who broke Sam free, from deep in a cave den.

Steve took some snow, and a pumpkin that glows, and made our friend anew. They were both so happy, it was almost sappy, like a dream of dreams come true.

But Steve wiped his eyes as he began to cry, he knew that he must go. Sam cried too, but he didn’t want to, he couldn’t let his feelings show.

So Steve ran away, he couldn’t face the pain, he had to go explore. Sam understood, and did the best he could to be patient again once more. For Steve had done this, oh yes he’s gone so many times before. But he always came back, and Sam knew that, still he felt so torn.

“Should I go after him, or should I stay?” Sam said to his snowy self. But before he could think, he began to sink, because he had started to melt.

Oh he wished and he wished for Steve to come back, so that he could say goodbye. But when Steve returned, it was too late, for Sam had already died.

Steve heart filled with sorrow, he could face tomorrow, he wasn't back in time. But he found some more snow, and wouldn’t you know, he brought Sam back to life!

The two of them smiled and they talked for a while, before Steve had to go. This time Sam knew, if things went askew, they would always meet again in the snow.
