On Youtube I love making Minecraft videos and showing them to the world. Although the problem is I can't seem to find a good screen recorder that doesn't lag my Minecraft like 10,000 people are at the same place at the same time. The screen recorders I use are Snapz Pro X and iShowU. They are both good, except they do lag a little bit. I want to have the perfect quality like SkyDoesMinecraft, AntVenom, and ZexyZek.

I have a 2010 Mac Book Pro with OSX Snow Leopard, 4 GBs of RAM, and 106.8 GBs on my hard drive. I'm possibly going to get an iMac to do most of my Youtube stuff but until then I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Is it my system, my screen recorder, how much memory I have? Please tell me. :3

Thanks for your support.

Try fraps? I'm not sure if that's on mac though tbh, but I heard you can record using Quicktime on macs :)

There's a thread about screen recorders for mac on Minecraft Forums, there's quite a few named on there, but I don't know if they're any good http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1491547-good-screen-recorder-for-mac/ :)

The problem is with your graphics card. Intel intergrated graphics suck to the max and if you want to record good gameplay, you gotta get a good computer. Thats just how it works. Theres no magic to it. Theres no "No Lag" screen recorder. The only lag you get is from your computer.

When I play minecraft with no screen recorder, it has no lag. :3 When I record, my computer hates me. I mean it's not severe lag... it's just not... what's the word... smooth?

Theres no lag because screen recorders are meant to record your screen, not games. Games will lag because there is for stuff to process and makes you lag. I dont know any game recorders for mac.

Also it may not even be your software. I think its more recommended to record on desktop computers. I also think that any computer with an intel graphics card is more than suitable for game recording.

Fraps.... I get a full 150 fps when i record. Just takes like 30gbs to make a ten minute video though.
