Second, You need to tell me your other specs, either download speccy or go into dxdiag and tell me what it says in the system and display sections.
Thirdly, if you're on a laptop, you can't upgrade your graphics card, there have been people saying you can hook one up to a laptop, but even then I doubt it would get enough power it needs.
4th on my point, if you have a mac, apple have soldered nearly all of their components (their newer models have EVERYTHING soldered, meaning it is near impossible to replace parts without causing damage), so that might not be an option.
Lastly, The shaders mod is, as far as I know, very unoptimized, even the highest of systems (i5 2500k, 560ti) struggle to run it.
I just need your specs, including your power supply wattage to suggest you a graphics card
For low-mid end I suggest a 6670, 6770, 7770 and 560ti.
Make sure you also have the optifine mod installed too.
Which power supply did you have in mind, as far as the brand goes, it should be 80+ certified and be from a relaible brand (seasonic, corsair, etc), since some less reliable companys put together their power supplies very sloppily and can end up catching on fire/exploding and taking the whole system along with it. For ram you should not get above 1333 mhz, anything above it is a ripoff and you won't be able to tell the difference (it's in nanoseconds).
For your question on being able to run it, fps is hard to estimate, but depending on the shaders version (I'll just assume you want default) then it should be able to run it pretty well.
(Sorry for responding slightly late, I've had a busy day.)
