Sheep wool

Minecraft has recently had an update as most of you know and part of that update was that sheep can regrow their wool by eating grass and tall grass. I have found this update quite useful but at the same time pointless. The reason why i find it useful is because now i have got a stack of white wool and 20 peices of red wool ( I dyed my sheep :) ) But the reason why i think its not useful is because what can i use it for?!? Only building wool houses (which are easily flammable) ,string or a bed (As far as i know of)
