Soooo I had tons of brain rot about an Oc... So enjoy.

“Hey, Hazel to earth, anyone home?”
She jerked up. She saw her friend staring at her anxiously.
“Ah- Oh yeah, sorry. Just thinking. What did you say?”
She snorted. “I asked how are you? Now I’m not so sure. What’s up with you today? You were all distant during lunch.”
I looked away. “You’d think it was stupid”
Her ecstatic friend gave her the saddest face ever.
“Boring”, she growled, thumping her tail. “Come on, tell me!”
After a few seconds of thinking, she gave out a long groan and rolled over. “Fiiiiiine. As long as you promise not to laugh”
The other cat looked over at her with bright eyes. “Go on.”
There were seconds of awkward silence.
“So, uh, I don’t like toms”
“...”
“...”
“HA!”
She jumped back. “What?!?”
“Well, of course not! Toms are stupid and arrogant! Well, not all of them. You just have to find the right one.”, the gray tabby explained.
“... You don’t get it.”
“Huh?” She cocked her head.
“I-I don’t like toms. It’s not that I haven’t found the right one. I’m just not interested in toms.”
“Ohhh. So you’re not interested in a mate? That’s fine, why the big deal?”
She felt like she wanted to facepalm herself.
“No, you’re not listening. Listen…”, she paused, unsure if she wanted to say the next sentence. “Would it be weird if I wanted a she-cat as a mate”
Silence.
Long silence.
“... You’re gay?”
“... I’m what?!?”
The tabby got up, ears folded up. “That- That can’t be right. You just don’t want a mate, right?”
“... Did I Stutter?”
She sighed “No, I just- You can’t be. That’s…”, she sighed. “They’re heretics, Hazel. The spirits forbid it. I just can’t imagine.. They’re terrible. You can’t be one of them right?”
Terrible.
The glass cracked.
“Yeah, I was kidding. Let’s just- Let's go back to camp”
A sudden feeling of falling into a large hole, cracking open into a dark, black abyss.

“I thought you’d understand!”
She stood outside the hollow, eyes widened, tears forming in the corner of her eyes.
Her friend stood in front of her, just inside it. She looked down to the ground, eyes narrowed.
“Please, don’t, I’m not like them-”
“No.”
“Wh- I’m half-Clan, so what? I’m never going to follow them. I don’t even know my real mother! Just-”
Claws were unsheathed, and a quick slice on the face.
Her legs shook. Blood dripped down the ground.
“Hazel, there’s nothing I can do. She exiled you, and I don’t want to go with you. I’m sorry.”
She lifted her paw onto the fresh wound on her shoulder.
She continued, not waiting for the trembling cat to speak, turning her back away.
“You know, I thought you were kidding when you said you wanted a she-cat for a mate. You’re loyal, you would never. But I see it now. Loyalties can’t be divided. I tried to tell myself that, but I can’t believe that now. Half-Clan’s will never fit in a clan.”
She looked back at her, her green eyes piercing into her heart and destroying her from the inside.
“Neither will heretics”
And then her whole world left her.
Forever.

Small explanation of what's happening here:
Hazel (Hazelslip) has a crush on Falcon (Falconfeather), but Falcon only sees Hazel as a friend. Hazel's old clan was homophobic, but eventually (Not mentioned in the story) she found a new clan that has more gays and is accepting of her. :)

So basically it’s an interpretation, and this probaly wouldn’t happen in real life, this is just to make the characters unique and interesting. I hope you understand!
