I have been asked several times how I convert 3D models into Minecraft. Well, this is my secret. It is a complicated and tedious method, but I prefer it over binvox. The program is written in LabView and the installer will install the LabView Runtime engine as well as the conversion tool. As you can probably guess It isn't limited to SketchUp, although I haven't tried it with any other programs. All you need are the cross sections and the program does the rest.
This program works fine for me and I don't plan on making any updates, upgrades or ports to other operating systems / programming languages. If you want to make extremely large models the program may give memory errors. If that happens try splitting the project up into smaller components.
