About a year ago, I came across a ski resort map by Minimumwageminecraft entitled WORKING SKI RESORT 3.0. It was very well done, with working lifts an airport, a theme park, and lots of other cool stuff. The main reason I bring this up is because Minimumwageminecraft had done a good job with the ski lifts. They had the right terminals for the right kind of lift and they looked like I could take them out of minecraft and and they wouldn't be out of place in your typical IRL ski resort. I was so impressed by the map i started looking for other ski resort maps. And the way most of them did ski lifts was REALLY bad. Reawakens are a group of builders that make really cool maps. But their build Twin Peak Ski Resort had a really bad job done on the ski lifts. They had a, aerial tram that was actually decent, but the detachable lifts they had built had the right bottom terminal, but the top one was a fixed grip terminal. On the time lapse thay had posted on youtube, there was a comment that said "it must be fun getting off that lift". I don't think Reawakens meant to put the wrong top terminal, but when you build a map in minecraft, you should at least get familiar with the components of what your building. This style of ski lift in minecraft is sadly really common. There was another map that I can't remember the name of, but the ski lifts were also really badly done. all of them were detachable (with the right terminals, thank god) but the way the did midstations was appalling. On a detachable, you have to detach the carrier to turn it, which is what they tried to do, but it just looked like there was a guide bar a bullwheel. When you want to make a lift turn, you have to have 2 wheels to turn the 2 cables, but this lift only had 1, and the other side was turning on a little section of the bullwheel.
