IntroHello! This is my first (probably of many) rant blog! Now, to start off, don't get me wrong, I love skinning, but sometimes it gets on my nerves. No, I am not jealous of amazing skinners like the_soup, DinowCookie, Nice7, ect, but what does get me really annoyed is these reasons. I shall start off with what annoys me in the community.
The Unoriginality of Other Skins
Now, I know there are far too many blogs on this subject, in fact this subject for blogs is becoming unoriginal in themselves. But if I am doing a whole rant on what annoys me about skins, this has to be there. I guess I'll list the different types of skins that are most often unoriginal/copied. These annoy me mostly because they hardly have any work put into them whatsoever.
1. Male Teen Skins
Must I say more? My good god, these are probably the worst skins ever created. Whoever created them should run away from the Internet.
And never come back.
If you want to make skins, learn to not copy. The pop reel should automatically not include skins with the word teen in.
2. Female Teen Skins
These aren't that bad, but almost EVERY female on Minecraft is or has worn a skin with those overused chibi eyes, if you want to hear a bit more about how female skins are more innocent that you think, go here. But 60% of most female skins are unoriginal.
3.List
Dwarf, Scribble, Single Colour, TrollFace, Awesome Face, Mario, ect
4. Steve
NO.
Non-Shaded
These skins really annoy me.
REALLY annoy me.
FIVE MINUTES TO MAKE A SKIN?!?!?!?
Please look at RipClaw's shading tutorials to shade... I find his tutorials the best (especially the palette shading one).
My Problems
Now onto my problems with skinning: the difficulties I get when I am skinning:
Originality
Sometimes, I get stumped on what to do...
Recently, I tried to make an adventurer skin, but no ideas came to mind. I Googled 'chibi adventurer' yet no inspiration came to mind. In the end, I just gave up.

Tedium
Sometimes, I want to chuck my computer out the window, but I persevere. I guess that is the main tip for skinning.
