The first full release of the Caves & Cliffs update is a major update to the Java Edition, which is scheduled for release in Summer 2021. This version was first announced during Minecraft Live 2020 on October 3, 2020.

The release will be released in the summer of 2021, but snapshots will begin to be released in February, perhaps if you can adjust the situation with 1.16!
