Hello everyone! This will be my first blog on PMC and I just wanted to share a little advice to you on how to be a successful builder in Minecraft.

Before I got Minecraft, I knew what my passion was... architecture. I love seeing big beautiful building in the skyline in big cities and I love small houses just as much. The thing is, I am still in high school. So what I thought I would do was get Minecraft to kind of share some of my creativity. At the moment, I have had Minecraft for a little over five months. Two or so weeks in to my gaming, I applied to the World of Keralis and was accepted. At the start, I will honestly say I was pitiful at building. I was probably one of the worst on the server. Then I started noticing other great builds on the server and started trying minimalistic style and modern. Now, in my opinion, I am not half bad. Although many of my ideas just simply will not work in Minecraft, do to building in only blocks, I still have had a chance to create some nice builds and learn from many people. So here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for. Here is how to become better at building...

Step 1: Apply for a server! There are so many creative servers out there! Choose one and apply for it! Once you get accepted, build! Practice will make you better and will give you whole new ideas and concepts on how to build more realistic as well as better in general. Note: If you don't get accepted on the first try, don't be discouraged! Practice, practice, practice! Eventually you will get to it!

Step 2: Do a collaboration: A collaboration is a build with one or more other people on the server. This, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to be a better builder because you can actually watch the person build as well as build you own style and really just get more experience! So pick a buddy and ask him if he wants to create a masterpiece with you!

Step 3: ORIGINALITY: The only way YOU can get better is if you come up with your ideas. Coping builds is not only looked down upon, it is just not fun either. If you want to get more creative, jot down a few ideas and build them! Even if they look totally derpy, it is still nice to build! If you copy someone else's build, you are just doing useless work. Make sure you do YOUR OWN work!

So these are the main steps to become a better builder. Of course there is always the steps to actually make better builds but maybe I will make a blog about that in the future.
