So, once I logged on, I decided to get some work done, but not before exploring Parrot’s island on the other side of the mountain where I had logged off. (I was picking poppies.) I walked along the river and even found more islands towards the end of it, where it led into the ocean. It began to get dark, so I waited out the night and killed mobs, and as soon as it was day, I made a boat and sailed down the river (title image) until I saw Emmin’s house. I went home, opened my chests and crafted 3 compasses: one for myself, one for a lodestone, and one for a locator map. I stole borrowed some of Parrot’s sugar cane and made it into paper, before crafting a locator map. I then made a cartography table and upgraded the map to level 2, before going straight down the path outside my front door. From there, I went across the ground that the map covered and filled the entire thing in. As I was walking, I came across this weird fort-like thing made of deepslate on Parrot Island. I investigated it but found no chests or mentions of who built it. I soon finished off the map by filling in a small part on Chaos Island, and then headed home to make an item frame. You can currently see the map on the azalea tree on the hub island. It’s impossible to miss, as I literally named it “Soda SMP.” I took a screenshot for an upcoming post about land ownership, and then headed to Freak’s to leave a sign outside the stairs leading to the arena saying it would be opening soon and I was nearly done building it. Then, I walked to the taiga biome to see Piaccu’s ship, and it’s really good. I love the design. Good job, Piaccu! As I headed back home to log off, I went into spectator mode and took a better picture of the map, before going back into survival mode and logging off.

All I did today was explore further beyond where I had gone yesterday. I actually found one of several endings to the river, which I’ve decided to name the Sprite River. Anyways, I made another locator map when I got home and increased it to level 3/4. Tomorrow, I’ll fill it out. That should be fun.

I claimed another island, and there's a bridge on the left of my island connecting it.* I also got fireworks and flew around on my elytra.

*I found a dirt bridge while mapping out the island on Saturday, and looking at the map now as I write this for Parrot (I'm writing this on Tuesday), I think that's the bridge he's talking about. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look at the map image in the screenshot from Saturday and zoom in closely to see a dirt bridge on west (left) side of Parrotland (again, writing this on Tuesday, so we call it that now and I guess this is spoilers for the next day's summary). Also, the image of the bridge is shown in the wall post I linked in the summary of Saturday's gameplay.

As soon as I logged on, I continued mapping out the server. I made two trips: the first was to fill in the very bottom quarter of the map, which I started the last time I was on. Then, I made a second trip after sleeping in my home (because the end of the first trip ended near my house). In this trip, I went from the bottom far right corner of the map to the top, then along the top of the map, and then down the far left. I stopped at the pond near the outpost on Parrot Island. I made a little log bench with some spare oak logs in my inventory and wrote a sign on it, then fished. After my break, I filled in the center of the map (it ended with me scaling a mountain), and when I got back to the Sprite River on my way home, I realized something: Chaos Island is tiny! You see, I realized that most of the land I was mapping out was Parrot Island. I don’t think any of us on the server realized how big it was, until I mapped it out today. I think we need to rename Parrot Island to a country-like name, like Parrotland (that’s horrible, forget I ever suggested it). I went home, went to bed, came back to the river, took some pictures for a wall post, and then went home and framed the level 3 map.

I was actually planning to play on the Hive this morning, but I saw the server was on and decided to log on. Piaccu was there (Chaos turned the server on for him), outside my house. He asked if I had an enchanting table (Wait, were you breaking into people’s homes to find a magical piece of obsidian and gems?), but I told him I didn’t have one and said Parrot had one, but he’d have to check with him to use it. I showed him the map and then visited his ship. It looks good so far. I decided to do some trident tossing and accidentally hit Piaccu, and then I visited the shipwreck near the mainland coast. I had already looted it, but I killed some drowned and then walked around on one of the islands off the coast of the mainland. I also tole Piaccu about the name I gave the river that runs through the islands in the main part of the server (the Sprite River), and he thought I’d name it the Fantasea (fantasy). That gave me the idea to name the ocean off the coast of the mainland (aka the one his ship is in) the Fanta Sea.

Anyways, after heading back home, I returned to the ship and built a 50-block tall birch plank tower to fly off of on the coast near the ship, and once I landed on the island, I headed back and then decided to go exploring to the east of the ship (but on the island, obviously). About 5 minutes into walking, I summoned a horse, who rode with me for the rest of my journey. (I did this all while listening to TheOdd1sOut talk about The Dark Crystal.) On our journey, we passed by massive caverns, rode through forests, and crossed rivers. (Luckily, I had a spare lead for the deep water.) The journey concluded when we scaled a tall mountain (but not wide, it was like a pillar), and I took pictures off the land below in all four directions. I made a waterfall going down from the top of the mountain to the forest (I had blocked it off at first because I was using it to climb up when I fell off, but then I kept it because it looked cool.) Then, I named the furthest edge (and the highest) the Edge of Madness (a combination of two Iron Maiden songs from The X Factor, “Man on the Edge” and “The Edge of Darkness). If you ever wanna visit it, I can TP you, but expect to end up like the horse, who I pushed off the mountain. However, he survived the fall (because it wasn’t off of the Edge, but rather another ledge), so I threw my trident at him a few times. Once the horse was dead, I flew off the Edge of Madness, and once I landed, I committed suicide with one of my favorite commands, /kill.

Once I got home, I visited the ship again. It was dark, and Piaccu had finished the mast. I gave him all the wool I had (two) and then logged off after calling him a “short man,” because he was using a character creator character, and he had changed the height.

I logged on again at night, and just explored. I tried to make another map connecting to my other level 3 map, but it didn’t work. I also tried to walk back to the Edge of Madness, but I couldn’t find it. I then went to the Nether and explored the crimson forests. I also picked up some quartz, gold, crimson stuff, and warped fungi, and then went home and logged off.

Monday, February 13th, 2023 - MY BIRTHDAY!!!

I logged on and explored for a bit, until Chaos joined. He was working on what was originally meant to be a shrine for the dragon egg. Now, it was going to be a garden with underground tunnels that ran through the mountain range in Parrotland. (Using that new name, by the way. Also, I’m thinking about calling it Mount Parrot,) The two of us spent our time on there working on it, until Chaos logged off after he saw a creeper in his base when he respawned. I stayed on for a bit, while contemplating how Chaos forgot that mob griefing was turned off.

For the first half that I was on, I was alone. I just walked around, and then logged around 10 PM after realizing I didn’t tell anyone the server was on. Once I notified people, Ella joined me and, while she worked on building the second floor of her house, I explored the ocean and islands in the southeast part of the world (assuming you’re walking down the path from the hub to Parrotland). When Ella announced that she had renamed her axe, “Tax Evasion Axe.” When I learned about this, I called her a tax evader, and typed /kill @a so I could get home and sleep and she could die. We both slept, and then I went to her house and became the server’s one-man IRS. I killed Ella a few times, and but she told me to run after she respawned, I hid in her new top floor and sneaked. She logged off because she had to go, and I went home and logged off too.
