Personally i think Minecraft should have outer space like it would be the first world you could get to with having make or go through to get too. But then there would be a way to get to it right. So Mojang (just like update 1.2.0) should add a mod to the game. I don't know which one ( I'm not much of a big mod user) but it would add lots of great creative things to minecraft. For example there should be planets u should be able to land on and build (like the biosphere mod) I think space in minecraft would add lots of possibilities to the game. I would really raise the bar for some of those hardcore or expert Minecraft players out there. What do you think about space leave me a comment down below to give your opinion. Don't Forget to give me a Diamond!!!!!

  Have something to say?

If you want other planets, just install mods which have other planets.
I don't think Jeb will add outher space to the game.
You can always try to tweet him.

The idea of space and other planets is very appealing, but there are two things that prevent me from supporting it:

First, how do we get there? Rockets and warp drive are out, as this is a fantasy game. Portals, like the kind we use to get top the Nether and End, would fit the theme but would defeat the purpose of having an actual expanse of space. Something like a "magic minecart" would satisfy both, but when you think about it, it seems rather dorky.

Second, can MC handle it? The Minecraft engine is designed so that you are A, always upright and B, are always pulled downwards to a flat world. The first creates the problem of limited movement. Where a game designed for flight allows you to rotate in all directions, MC only lets you pivot horizontally and vertical movement is a straight translation. The second problem is that of gravity. In Minecraft, the world is flay, and you are always pulled downward in relation to it. In space, however, gravity radiates from a point. The game is not built to handle this.

every true for both reasons but for the second reason today's technology is advancing everyday maybe i a few years Mc could handle it but currently no but in the future it is possible

Game can already handle it Cerv, it is just tp do this in Minecraft, they would have to modify the entire engine, just to appeal to a fraction of Minecrafters.

In layman's terms, the pros are less than the cons.
