[SPOILER] The Titan Games

This is a spoiler for the first chapter. Like always, tell me what you think and don't forget to leave a diamond or even a favorite!






     Lights, eyes focusing. I woke up in a fuzzy state with my torn body in a heap of branding and scars. The man next to me hit my face hard enough to get my attention.
     "Wake up, Ponyboy. This isn't the streets." He kicked my chest.
     I shook my head in pain and put my dirty palm over myself. "Wh-what? What do you mean? And is that my name? Ponyboy?"
     "No, son. Your name is Louis. Louis Talent. It's always been, until now. Now your a number." He smiled and kicked me again, but only this time hurt enough to make me squeal. "It's 509."
     "509?" I asked.
     The 9-foot tattooed man kicked me again. "You heard me. You're 509."
     I smiled just enough to show him I was still alive. "And what are you?"
     "I'm 101, your instructor. The others around here call me Bacca."
     I raised a brow and smiled even more. "And why is that?" 
     He picked me up by the hair and threw his fist into my nose."That's why." He gestured out his hand so he could help me up. 
    "Thank yo-" He lifted me up into the dusty air and threw me down onto the floor. 
    "And now, we will see if you can survive the test."
    I let my neck drop into a state of pain. "What test?"
    Bacca walked over to a corner and pressed a button, activating the iron door. Halfway up, I saw what looked like an arena. "This test, dummy, To see if you can become a fighter." The gate now all the way lifted and open, I could see a crowd of fancily brass-armoured figures shouting. Far ahead was an identical gate like the one me and Bacca were next to, but larger.
     "What's behind that gate over there?"
     Bacca walked towards me and picked me up by my skull and threw me like a shotput into the center of the arena and threw me a glowing weapon. The small gate I was previously behind closed. I looked above the crowds to hear a loud man clearing his throat.
     "May I have everyone's attention, please?" The shouting crowds instantly became silent. "For today's Titan Games, we have entity 509 joining us today in a battle against Titan 27! The large gate opened ever-so-slowly, making my spine shiver in fear. Once fully exposed, the giant thing came out of there like a lion that didn't eat a meal for days. "Let the match begin!"
     "This is what I get for asking questions." I readied my weapon for battle and charged my monstrous foe.
