Hello fellow Minecrafter, I decided to write a survival guide!It all started when I was heading out of a cave, into the daylight, when I fell of the edge and got knocked out cold.Surprisingly, I still have my memory!Haha!However, all of my resources are gone!My ores, blocks, food, tools, weapons you name it!The only item I have left is a book and quill, which I am currently writing on.Let me teach you some things, then you will be able to survive the harsh lands of Minecraftia!
Now look at you!You're going to be a Minecraft professional in no time!I'm going to end my guide to survival here, you can get to the top on your own.Wait I see something... h-h-he has n-no e-eyes.Oh my notch, h-h-he can't be real!He has the same silhouette just as the survivors described him!Oh dear, well before I die, I just wanted to say that the rumors were true!He wasn't removed!Oh no, h-he's stepping closer!Ah!

A young traveler mines in the same cave Steve mined in.She spots a book on the bottom of a hole.She goes down and grabs the book.

~ Step #1 - Wood ~
When you first spawn into the world, you absolutely must find wood!I'd hate to be you if you were on a island in the middle of no where!Haha!Anyways, gather some wood by going next to a tree, and punch it by holding down your left click button.Be sure to get all of the wood, and take down at least three trees.Good, now turn all of your logs into wooden planks by pressing the 'E' button on your keyboard.Click the stack of logs then place it in your 2x2 grid, only filling up one square, then take out your wooden planks.Afterwards, craft a crafting table by filling in that 2x2 grid with those wooden planks you made earlier.
~ Step #2 - Mining ~
Congratulations!You've completed the first step to survival!I suggest to go into a nearby cave to mine.Remember, the number one rule of Minecraft is to never dig straight down!Craft yourself a wooden pickaxe, then start mining some stone.Collect three peices of stone to upgrade to a stone pickaxe.Next thing to do is find coal, you need to craft torches in order to see and for the monsters to stay away!Keep exploring your cave and mine ores such as coal, iron, gold, redstone, lapis lazuli and diamond.However, you need a iron pickaxe to mine some of the ores.
TIPS
- Place torches down so monsters won't spawn.
- Avoid monsters, lava and deep holes.
- Use your old wooden tools to use as fuel for your furnace, to save coal.
When you are satisfied with the amount of minerals you have, head back into the daylight.Be sure to not fall off the edge like me!Haha!It's time to build your base!

~ Step #3 - Building a Base ~
When building your base, you can build it wherever you want, such as a island, flat area, cave, mountain, etc.Feel free to make it out of any material you desire, any shape, any size, the choice is yours!Be sure to make it a medium size, not too big, not too small.I suggest to make it out of stone or/and wood, for beginners.
When filling your house with items, I suggest filling it up with a couple of chests, a couple of furnaces, a crafting table and a bed to sleep.

~ Step #4 - Upgrade ~
Now you need to upgrade your tools and you need armour to keep you safe.I suggest making iron armour, but of course you can make armour out of leather, chain (not craftable), gold and diamond.Craft a chesplate first, it's stronger.Then the leggings, and the choice of making boots and/or a helmet is yours.
If you don't have enough iron to craft your tools, make it out of cobblestone.

~ Step #5 - Food ~
You start to lose hunger after doing all of that hard work.
OPTIONS TO GAIN FOOD
A. Kill animals, gather their meet and cook it in your furnace.
B. Break grass to gather seeds, make a hoe, plant the seeds using the hoe (must be planted next to water and on dirt!), wait for your wheat to grow, then craft it into bread.
But you need food quick!There's no time to waste!Kill some nearby animals for meat.

- Chickens
- Sheep
- Rabbits
This is very important, you can't regenerate if you have low hunger!
