This story is called Fish's Chronicles: The External Kingdom
Prophecy 1: The External Kingdom
Fish - Seastern dragon
Mathew - Seastern dragon
Cyrus - Anthropomorphic cat
Theirra - Velociraptor
Jordan - Storm dragon
This is half of a random chapter from the story.
They climbed up the mountain carefully, one step at a time. Somber, lifeless rocks on the mountain pass chiseled away and crumbed down the peak. Fish was behind everyone to make sure Theirra didn't fall. "I'm tired," Theirra groaned, then whined. Mathew glared back at her and hissed a loud, ear-piercing screech. The echo made it louder than it should have been. Fish flinched from the irritating sound.
They always do this, Fish thought to himself. For some reason, Mathew didn't like Theirra, though she never did anything to him. I guess Mathew doesn't like picking up her feathers.
"Guys, we're almost at the top!" Cyrus exalted, pointing up at the mountain peek. It still looked like it was miles away. Fish was exhausted like Theirra. They all were.
All Fish could think about was resting. He was hungry and thirsty. They all refused to stop. They needed to get the crystal.
They all kept walking slowly and discreetly, making sure no one tripped. Theirra started getting slow because all the energy had left her body. That's saying a lot given how hyper she is all the time. Fish watched her. "Guys wait," he called out because the others were moving too fast for himself and Theirra to keep up. Mathew looked at Fish and Theirra. He looked irritated. Jordan sat down, panting as Theirra did the same. Fish and Mathew looked at each other they both were a tad irked.
Mathew growled and charged toward him, jumping and grabbing Fish's snout. Fish snarled, showing his teeth, and tried to push him off violently, clawing at his chest. Cyrus panicked, grasping Mathew's tail, and pulled him back, pinning his snout into the ground. Fish rubbed his muzzle in pain. Mathew tried to jerk away but couldn't get away from Cyrus as he held him there.
"Mathew, calm down," Cyrus muttered, petting him gently. Mathew's eyes were glistering black, and you couldn't tell what direction he was looking. Mathew whipped his tail under Cyrus's feet as the black cat fell to the ground.
Mathew hastily jolted over to Fish and pushed him onto his side. Fish yelped as he slid toward the cliff.
Fish attempted to stand up as Mathew darted over again. Jordan and Cyrus tried to grab him, but they tripped each other.
Fish winced as blood trickled down into his eye. He blinked it away as he tried to stand up once more. Mathew stabbed his claws into Fish's tail and pounced on him as Fish let out a blaring, excruciating noise.
