Strife....it solves nothing.

The title says it all, I assume most of you have faced problems with those you encounter on servers who say hurtful things like, "I win! you suck noob!" or "If only someone can teach you how not to suck at life." or anything similar or even explicit, when this happens, how do you respond? take a moment before reading the rest of this to think of a response you once gave that person.

*sits in chair quietly while you think*

did your thinking bring you to where you may have said they're retarded, or something explicit? That's the problem, when someone insults you, you have the urge to lash right back don't you? don't deny it, I won't either, all of us have made the mistake with evolving strife from just a little candle light into a raging wild fire, even the nicest of people have done it, if someone denies that they've done it, they are likely lying so they seem like they're perfectly friendly around the clock, anyway, the point is, is that we DON'T always get along, we're human and that's what happens between us, we don't always get along we can't be perfect, making mistakes is apart of learning, my best advice is, is when someone says something that hurts your feelings, do one of the following:

1. if the server allows it just do /ignore (username)

2. leave the server for 30 minutes or so and take some time to yourself to calm down

3. inform an admin or moderator of the persons attitude and let the admin/MOD play the cards.

4. just leave the game without a single word, showing you're bothered by this will make them want to continue bugging you.

5. only play on a white listed server, where it's no one but you and your friends in real life, people who understand each other are less likely to fight then those who don't.

I will close this article with my last few words of knowledge, these words have helped me and are likely to help you as well.

"When one has hurt you with a fist, instead of showing brute force, reply with a gentle hand."

in other words, if someone's being mean to you, don't be mean back, just commit an act of kindness, as a hostile action will only make things worse. well that's all for this post, I'll see you all later.
