What's that smell... could it be... success!?
Yes! So a few hours ago I reached bedrock for the first time on the world I've been playing on. A few layers above, I found diamond! Now, one of the mods in the YogBox has quite a few new ores, and I was playing a new texture pack, http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/futurcraft-173-139925/, so I thought it was Sapphire or something. But, much to my surprise, it was diamond! 5 of them! A few layers down, I reach bedrock, and start mining outwards. A bit later, I find a new ore, which I guess is one of those 2 or 3 with the mod that's better than diamond... unfortunately you needed a diamond pick, and even more unfortunate was that another mod in the YogBox had skills for doing things like crafting, woodcutting, fighting monsters, etc. Now, some items require a certain level to craft. Diamond Pick= Minimum 30. Me=25. So I lost one, but I see at least another one, so I'll go back later.
I also found lots of other stuff, and while mining, I found some coal. And you can never have enough coal, so I kept digging it out and it led me to... Diamond! 3 this time! So, I decided to go up to the surface and come back later. I left with about 32 iron, 70 something redstone, and 8 diamond! Found lots to do when I got up though, the village made through Millenaire made a fountain. But, the fools didn't make it an infinite source! So I took out all the water, and put a infinite source in it's place! While doing that, I dug down in one of the squares to make a base, and you can see that in the attached video!
I also went up to explore the floating island, but it just became winter, and the bit of water I was swimming up froze at the top, And I fell to my death... Oh well, In the spring!
