Chapter one:

I woke to what shouldo ve been a normal morning, I saw thin streak of light cut across my room from the gap in-between my curtains. I rolled onto my stomach and picked my iPod off my desk to check the time. 8:42 it said. I put my iPod back down, rolled over again and sat up. I picked my earphones up and plugged them into my laptop for later. I stood up, got dressed, left my room and got myself some breakfast.

I sat down at my desk, turned my laptop on, and put my breakfast down next to me. I logged into windows then opened an internet browser and Minecraft. When they had both loaded I went to my favourite music site and multiplayer on Minecraft. I looked through the list of servers I had saved before I decided to join a server I knew well and had two other people online.

o Downloading terrain, logging ino ¦o

When I joined I was greeted and spoke in return, the people that were on were people I knew. Soon I was asked if I wanted to join a survival games, I agreed and went through the Survival Games portal. I walked over to the row of signs to find the map with other player on, I clicked on the writing and typed o /sg voteo so the game would start.

o Game starting in 20 secondso I heard and braced myself for the start.

o Game starting in 10 seconds, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, the Games have begun!o

I stepped of the stone platform and ran across the smooth grassy grounds to get to the chests in the centre of the spawn area. I picked the nearest chest and fumbled with the opening, a sword, some food, a helmet, not much. I dropped the container lid and I realised with much shock where I was. I looked up, the clear sky, the wind-bound tops of the trees, the dirt and grass beneath my feet.

I was in the Survival Games arena, as me, not my cubic double.I turned and ran, as fast as I could.

Chapter two:

Only when I stopped running, and my breathing began to slow did I hear that music was still playing from the site I had loaded. It was strange, like it was actually the wind making the music distorted like it probably wouldo ve been if I could hear the Dubstep properly.

Apart from not knowing my way around this Survival Games map, I had no idea which direction I had run from spawn, and now with my head pounding to the sound of my own heartbeat, I was beginning to become even more disorientated. I no longer knew which way was forward or where Io d even was come from.

o CRACK-BOOM!o I heard an extremely loud thunderclap quite far from where I was told me the location of another player. I turned away from it and started walking slowly for what was probably hours.

I saw the forest begin to darken and the sky begin to light up with the neon white spots of stars.

o Fuck!o I said to myself under my breath, night time. Even with a sword I wouldno t survive without any form of shelter, though at that moment I didno t feel like I would even let myself thinking of being killed or ambushed. I began to move more quickly and soon found a ruined bridge leading to a small island with an old fort still standing tall. I knew where I was, I turned to my right and in the distance I saw the faint outline of the tunnel leading underwater.

I very carefully crossed the bridge, trying my hardest not to become any of the lose stones or bricks that fell into the water as I stepped on or passed them. I reached the fort and looked over the ocean to the stone brick structure forming an entrance under the water.

I stepped towards the water and dipped my fingertips in. It was cold, very cold, and I couldno t swim too well either, let alone while carrying a sword. And yet I jumped, just because I knew what was waiting in the cave that lay under the deep water.

Chapter three:

I finally reached the stone bricks that were pushing out of the rim of water. I threw my sword, helmet and food up onto the ledge and pulled myself up after them. I was freezing, my clothes soaked and even colder then I was. I pulled off my jacket off, lay my food inside, and carefully dropped it into the tunnel and saw it make a wet splash on the ground. I fastened the sword to a belt loop in my jeans, put the helmet on my head and lowered myself down the ladder into the warm room.

It wasno t very light inside but it was extremely hot. Pools of lava filled the fallen floor tiles in the sides of the rooms. I heard a strange creaking and turned to see a skeleton that had been hiding in a corner was readying his bow to fire at me. I bent down picked up a stone and threw it sharply at his head. His skull cracked, half of the dirty white bone shards fell to the ground and he stumbled off balance. I ran up to him and kicked him into one of the lava pools where for a second he burned, then sank into the red-orange liquid.

I walked over to the ladder leading to the open sky and ocean surrounding. I climbed up to scout the area; I saw some monsters far off on the main island-continent and a few on the bridge and nearer island. But as I hoped, I didno t see anybody else or any other players. I jumped back to the hard tiled ground, picked up my jacket and food and walked over towards some of the lava. I unrolled my jacket and laid it out with my food to dry. I placed the sword next to them and pulled off my tight wet jeans and shirt. I lay them out on a cleaner stone to dry while. I sat with my back against a wall and slowly fell asleep, music still echoing through my head.

Chapter four:

I woke early the next morning as the white sunlight began to pour through the entrance, lighting up the entire room. I stood up and pulled my warm dry clothes on and realised how unbelievably hungry I was, I hadno t actually eaten my breakfast from before and then I had run halfway across the map when the Games started.

I picked up an apple and bit into one side. It was salty and bruised from the journey, but I was extremely hungry. I ate the entire thing before I realised I had to decide to do something else. I couldno t stay here forever, I didno t want to have to swim back across to the island, there wasno t much else I could do that I wanted to think of then.

I climbed back up the ladder and sat in with my feat hanging in the water while I thought about what I needed to do next. If I stayed where I was I would starve. If I swam across to the island I would be cold and wet for hours with no way of drying myself other than waiting.

Music much louder than usual cut through my thoughts, it was a song I had heard on the music site before, I had liked it so much I went to download it and play it as soon as it finished. I began to whistle along with the tune and I began to get lost in the echoing sound of the music and I forgot where I was and the decisions I had to make, though it had an obvious answer.

Halfway through the song something interrupted my thoughts, or rather lack of; an arrow had flown into the water close to my feet. I looked up at where it had come from. Someone stood on the island, waving at me. From where I was I couldno t tell who it was, but I could tell that the arrow they fired was to get my attention and not as a sign of hostility.

I stood up quickly and waved back. I jumped down into the room to pick up all my things when I noticed that the rest of my food had perished. I was disappointed but not surprised. Sword in one hand I climbed slowly back up the ladder into the sun. The person was still standing there waiting. I fixed the sword to my belt loop again and put the helmet loosely on my head and dived into the cold, salty water.

Chapter five:

I stopped swimming after a while, looked up and saw I was nearing the shallow water of the islando s coast. I pushed myself further before I could stand and walk the rest of the way. I looked up when I reached the island and took the hand of the person that awaited my arrival.

Finally out of the cold water, hopefully for the last time, I look at who I had come to join. It was Matthew, or articmatt as he was known in Minecraft.

o So, you too huh?o He asked.

o Yeah,o I replied. o Hey, have you heard from Joey yet?o

o Nah, Io ve actually been trying to distance myself till now.o

o Mm o kay.o

He started walking towards the fort, I followed of course, there wasno t much else for me to do at this point in time. He stepped inside the one of the ruined towers and looked up. In the Minecraft map it was meant to be a Parkour challenge to reach the chests at the top of the wall.

o Here,o he said, handing me the sword he carried.

o You sure about that?o I asked as I took the sword and he stepped up to the first platform.

o Not really, but ito s worth a shot.o

o Wello ¦ what I meant to say was, Io m not too sure about thato ¦o I corrected myself as he jumped across to the next brick floor. He shrugged before he continued his climb. I stayed where I was, I have no problem with heights, ito s just the head-floor collision that I dono t like.

He finally reached the top of the tower and walked across the wall, out of sight. I stepped outside the tower ruins and stepped back to see that Matt had reached the other side and was looking through the chest. I put the swords and my helmet on the ground and walked closer to the wall.

o Here, catch,o he said and dropped an apple I caught it and placed it on the ground next to me. o o ¦and again.o I almost dropped this catch, but managed to hold on.

o Okay, stand back!o he told me.

I took a few steps backwards and watched as some more armour and another sword fell to the ground where I had stood a few seconds ago. As Matt made his way back down from the tower, remembered another chest that was on this island. I put down the stuff in my hands and walked back to the watero s edge.

I walked around the island for a little while before I found the stone pillars reaching out of the water. I stepped onto the first one, jumped to the next, then the next, and so on until I reached the chest.

Well...How else are you meant to write a Minecraft story?
Don't say "maybe you don't have to write about Minecraft"...because if it wasn't Minecraft related, I wouldn't be allowed to post it on Planet MINECRAFT.

Sounds like I'm re-writing the HungerGames?
...Hm...maybe because it's called Survival Game.

You took that a bit too hard but I will stand my ground, survival games, I know what it is but it seems you are because of the hole human thing rather than minecraft. Also, also alot of posts aren't always about mc.. I can see the wold "MINECRAFT" on planetminecraft.com :P It's just that it could be more original.

(don't mean to sound cliché and all....but...) sorry if it sounded like I over reacted, I guess...

I have some difficulties conveying sarcasm through text and, you know...being about 3am where I am now...not even doing a great job of keeping my eyes open at the moment I don't think I should be replying to feedback and ... stuff... *ECT; end of thinking capacity* ;P
