THE BEGINNING:
-When the game starts, you either have a choice. Run straight to the cornucopia, or run away to explore. If your playing on a map you have little knowledge about, it is recommended that you bolt to the centre and hope for some luck. Perhaps a sword and some gear, but don't keep your hopes up high. Other players will also open the same chest as you, and maybe take some items. Or you may fall behind and not receive anything. Leaving you in trouble.
If you're playing a map you know well, run off. Its recommended that you come up with your own chest route.

If you have multiple chest routes for one map, study whereabouts you are, and which one will take less time to raid and to get to. The worst thing that could happen is to be weaponless and have shortage of gear and food. In that scenario, its almost a guaranteed loss.

Don't be one of those people who go on youtube and look up chest routes on youtube for that particular map. Nor be those people that just follow the crowd. Come up with your own strategic one. Perhaps download the map and study it.

If you choose to run into the centre, and got lucky. This is a good chance to get the others off guard. Whack them whilst they are still inside a chest, it will get them low on health for sure. Not to mention, there WILL be a bloodbath. So watch out. Some people get loads of armour of the bat, so if you aren't well equipped, its recommended you run off, or ignore them. If you think you are quite good when it comes to combat, get in a fight with him. If he seems to be quite good himself, its recommended you run off. But if he isn't very good. Take the risk to finish him off. It shouldn't be to hard.

DURING THE GAME:
In the process of the game, things get difficult. All the not-so-good players are dying, leaving the most likely more professional ones left.

Make sure to be stealthy, if you see a team. Try to get them off guard and jump-crit hit them. Considering critical hits can do up to double the damage dealt from normal hits. This also applies to all other players, if you see 2 players in a fight, stand back. When one of them dies, bolt in and finish of the other. Its recommended that you wait until they are sorting through all the loot the other player dropped. Don't just jump into the fight, they may both decide to swing at you. Making you deal a lot of damage!

When you spot a team, attempt to join in their alliance. If they accept, check the chat to see if they are typing to each other or not. If there are no messages in chat, it is most likely that they are using some sort of communication application. This will make it harder for you if they are. Because if you backstab, the others will be warned and will help defeat you. Which puts you in a really bad position. If they are typing to each other, ask them a question that will take some time to type. For example you could type this; "If we are the last alive, who will win?" (these also apply for teaming with single players too)
When you see them stop moving, they are most likely typing their response. So go in for the attack! You may also say "I put some stuff for you in the chest" so when they look in the chest you can kill them.

NOTE: Actually put items in the chest, so they spend time taking them out. Don't worry, when you kill them, you will retreat those items.

Combat isn't all about the swords, its also about some other useful items which could be used to your advantage. Such as flint and steel. When they are charging at you place a row in their path, then strafe around them. This is almost a guaranteed victory against this opponent! Also if you knock them back with your sword, whip out your bow and shoot them a couple of times, and go back in for the attack. Fishing rods are also useful.

Make sure to look around you, don't be one of those people who waddle around just focusing on which direction they are walking, make sure you are looking behind yourself, to the sides, etc. Anyone could come from any angle at any time! so BE PREPARED.

Have your hot-bar and inventory organised and prepared. Don't have everything jumped and clogged up in your inventory and hot-bar. Have it where you can quickly switch to it when it is needed.

Recommended items to have in your hot-bar: Sword, bow + arrows, flint and steel, fishing rod, food, enderpearls.

FINISHING THE GAME:
When the game is coming to a close, depending on which server you are on, there will be a death match, or lightning bolts detecting were the other players are.
If you are in control of the game, you have many kills, decked out in gear etc. the other players will most likely have minimum gear. But not always. Follow the lightning strikes and kill the other players and finish off the game!
If there is a death match, be prepared. Have full health and hunger, have everything equipped.
And take it from there! Use the mid-game tips and combat tips to finish of the other players! I wish you good luck in the next game!

I stalk other lesser geared players, to see how they may react to me. Then I ask "Team OtherMincrafter1129?" If it is a yes I give them lesser stuff, to get them to trust me. As they sort through the stuff I gave them I make my move and kill them!

Great job with this blog! Diamond, Fav, Sub!

some servers don't allow flint and steel in sg. also burning your opponent to death could result in the loss of their goods which could mean the difference between you winning or losing. I always take stuff from the center kill a few strays then search.
