Lately, on this site, I have noticed a HUGE amount of AMA (Ask me anything) forum posts on this site's forums. Note, I am not hating on them,nor am I supporting them, I am just giving an analysis of this new trend. As one can plainly see by the cover image, there were three(!) AMA's on the top of the forum activity list.
The oldest AMA I have seen (and by all means, correct me) was posted around 5 months ago. It quickly grew and grew until it reached a pandemic status. At the time of me writing this blog, on vacation, there are 427 topics matching "AMA". This is quite a large number. Not as large as the thousands of teen skins (eeewww...) out there.
My solution is to create a hub for AMA's that can be answered by anyone. The member who asked will then receive a PM with a link back to the post. I apologize to Cyp and Paril, because, yes, I know this would be extremely resource intensive. However, could this quell our problem? Maybe.
Now it is your time to decide. Are the AMA's a problem or are they becoming a fact of life here on good old PMC? Take your opinions to the comments!
