Skywars, AKA Skywarriors is a Minecraft minigame that consists of multiplayer maps in the sky of which you battle to the death. Skywars orginally started as Skyblock Warriors, a map that you can download and play with your friends. There are many different Minecraft servers which have this minigame. Over time, this minigame has become extremely popular. Some servers revolve around this one minigame and don't have any others. If you like Multiplayer PVP, awesome builds/maps, and joining in on a game within seconds, Skywars is the game for you!

In Skywars, there can be anywhere from 3 to 16 players depending on the map. Since it takes place in the sky, you will usually recieve a fishing rod or snowballs/eggs in the beginning along with other randomized items in a chest. People will try to kill you by knocking you of or just slashing with a sword or aiming with a bow, so, when building out, you should never build straight out with no wall/water behind you. Walls are the most effective and you almost never will get knocked off but, if your in a hurry, they take time to build. Water is another tactic which you place water near you so if you do get knocked off you can simply climb the water you placed, this may be faster but the problem is it takes time to climb back up, that time the enemy can use to build over and block your water so you die. Make sure you have a backup plan if you use this technique, otherwise you may end up losing.

There are many weapons and items in Skywars. Lava, flint and steel, tnt, and of course bows and swords can all be used to win. Before going in to eliminate another player make sure you have either item/armour that is equal to theirs or better IF you don't have the element of surprise. If you have the element of surprise you can have horrible stuff and still kill your opponent aslong as you have a good weapon. Tnt can be dropped from the sky on the enemy. Lava can do the same but will take a bit to fall, if someone is attacking you and you don't have very good stuff then lava can kill just about anybody as long as you keep them in it for a few seconds. Bows can be shot from a distance and can either knock the enemy off the map or kill them if you put enough shots into them. Swords, well just slice and dice them to pieces! Make sure you have a good melee (Sword, Axe, etc.) weapon on you if you have to suddenly go into battle with someone.

There are many strategies which can be discussed but for the time being I will only write a few. (Later I might add more) Okay a very basic strategy is what I like to call the Over and Under, basically, the strat works like this, depending on the map you are playing on, you can decide whether to go over or under. On a map with huge, tall islands what you can do is dig to the tip of the bottom and build to the other islands on the bottom of the map! This works well if on the map you are playing people can  mine for resources because some people mine and don't pay attention. If your map is small with not very large islands, you could go over the map by building very far up and over, yes, this strat is very noticable thats why you gotta go high up so fishing rods and snowballs/eggs can't reach you. you can then drop water down on the island you built to and climb down but if you play a server with no fall damage this strat is ideal, because once up and over a island, you can just jump down! Lastly, another strategy is to rush center. On must maps there will be a center with tons of chest/loot that can be gamechanging, sotta like a cornocopia form the hunger games. Most people will rush this in the beginning of the game and build out as fast as they can so you just have to knock them off with a snowball! Some people will have enderpearls and you cannot usually can't prevent them from getting center.
