Some people think Minecraft worlds are endless. But they're not. Scientifically speaking, it would take years to get to the end. The end of Minecraft worlds are called, "The Farlands". Mojang tried to remove anyone from getting to the Farlands in the 1.4.2 Minecraft Update. You can still get there by doing /tp (player) 29999999 50 1; Now you're probably wondering, what the heck is the Farlands?! Well the Farlands are blocks starting at coordinates:
X: 30000000 Y:50 Z:1
The Farlands are blocks that are counted as nothing in Minecraft systems. If you go to the farlands you would fall straight through them. That's why everyone loves flying!

Well the Farlands, are in every dimension. The Nether coordinates for the Farlands are not very different then the overworld coordinates:
X: 30000000 Y:70 Z:1
Well that's it for the Farlands. Please comment, diamond
