The Herobrine Conspiracy - My Story

I was a Herobrine sceptic. Having a good understanding of java, I knew that it was impossible for Herobrine to have been accidently added in...I even had a look at the source code myself and couldn't see anything there. The fact that Notch himself said that Herobrine wasn't real just confirmed it.

But then I saw him. It was on a netherlands pvp server, very friendly bunch there... I was a ginny pig, being tested on by an admin :P when in the distance I saw what looked like the standard minecraft steve, but with white eyes, and with the name tag above him: "Herobrine". He looked at me, I turned to see if the admin could see him (who was looking in the other direction the bugger), and when I looked back he'd vanished. I know this doesn't sound very likely, but these events that took place are entirely the truth, whether or not it is a hoax by someone I can't be sure, and I admit, I write it now in the perspective of a believer, though at the time I was a sceptic.

At first I thought it was another player, a practical joker, you know...but I checked who's online and there was noone with the name Herobrine. I queried with the admin and there was noone with that nickname either. So then I thought it was the Herobrine plugin, but when I queried it, I discovered that the server had no such plugin. I checked the logs, noone joined or left the game at the time. I was a little confused, but I quickly forgot about it.

Then quite recently, I was looking at the Minecraft update logs when it dawned on me. Notice how in the logs, Mojang are continuously removing Herobrine from the game? I know I know it's just a joke, but that could be a cover up. Listen for a moment. What if, Herobrine is not in the Minecraft source code, but is being put into the code by the updater? How can we tell? Think on it.

Btw, the server this happened on is game.mc4all.nl. Though only 2 other ppl were involved at the time. I'll have to ask their permission if they're ok with having their name mentioned.
