Hiii,

Some friends and I came up with the idea for a server (Which is about to be in motion this month) that would be factions, but with "Gods".
Pretty much, there'd be 4 gods that each have a faction. They wouldn't actually participate in making bases, mining etc., but they'd be a face for the faction. So, you'd get the choice to either make your own faction, or pay money and join one of the God factions.
The server owners would be the gods. Thats the reason why gods can't participate in their factions.
So, here's the entire storyline behind this.
Hope you enjoy :)

Once there was a light, to be specific, Lunacity, who was an almighty being that had the power to do anything that it wanted to do.  First, it created the world, a dry, rocky, hot world and he named it Krantum, it then created a daughter to look after the land, Lunacity named her Agritheo.  Second it created the flames, and the volcanoes, and everything destructive, the Light then made a son to look after it, Lunacity named it Pyroes.  He then created the seas, the lakes, and everything that had to do with water, it then made a son, and named it Martheos.  Finally, Lunacity using the last of its power made the sky, the air, lightning, and everything else that had to do with the sky and air.  it then finally created a son, and Lunacity named it Skye.  The four gods and goddess used their power to create the most amazing thing of all, life.  They created all the cows, sheep, pig, chickens, wolves, cats, even humans.

They then retreated to their domains with Agritheos in Mount Dachricious to reside in the form of a statue, Martheos in the ocean to swim with his narwhal friends,Pyroes in the Nether to rule over the devils, ghasts, and zombie pigmen, then Skye left to the End to only unsuccessfully tame the dragon and live among the Endermen.

When Skye attempted to tame the enderdragon, he only angered him, which lead to the dragon attacking all newcomers to the End.  Only shall four heroes chosen by the gods themselves shall slay the beast.  After Lunacity used all his power, it left Krantum and was never seen again.  Much is shrouded around Lunacity, nobody knows where it came from or when it’ll return.

After Lunacity left the land of Krantum, a dark force arose. 3 nights after Lunacity had left, there was a feast prepared by the gods and their followers. Skye set a beautiful starry sky, Agritheos brought the finest fruits and vegetables, Martheos brought a wide assortment of fish, and Pyroes brought lamb, pork, steaks, chicken, and more meats.

Pyroes rode his Ghast Chariot, Martheos swam on the back of his pet Narwhal named Klakxle, Agritheos rode a horse, and Skye flew to the banquet hall.

When everyone arrived, Skye, Agritheos, and Martheos prepared however they needed to. Skye made sure the night sky was as dark as possible, Agritheos made sure that her breads were not stale, and Martheos broke out into dance. Pyroes went to the “Fire table” and quickly cooked the meats and fish.

When they all sat down to eat, the servants came around and poured the finest wine. As they all took their first bite, a loud bang was heard from the side.

Everyone looked over, and saw a 20 foot tall bearded man standing tall in the doorway. Each of them stood up. Each of the gods pulled out their weapons.

Pyroes used a sword with a pitch black blade. When he held it in its correct position, the blade burst into flames.

Skye unsheathed his bow from his back. His arrows were made of a sleek metal. The bow was fully white, and the string was blue.

Martheos brought his long, blue sword off of his back. Inside of the blade, you could see what looked like water.

Agritheos held a dark green spear in her hand. As she held it, the blade sharpened and grew longer.

The man who came through the door said these words, “Greetings, Gods. Your beloved Lunacity created me as a byproduct of Pyroes. I am Glixyl. Nemesis of the gods, leader of Man”. With that said, each of the gods charged at Glixyl.

It was a short battle. Pyroes took pride in stabbing Glixyl in the places where you kept private. Skye shot him wherever he found harmed him the most. Then, Martheos and Agritheos took his arms, chaining him to the ground.

It was easily decided that Glixyl would be kept in the lava below Pyroes’ castle. There, he was chained down and forced to burn for eternity.

After the battle, it was also decided that there would be no more meetings like that again. If one was to occur, it would have to be for a great reason, and all protection would be needed. At the meeting where this was decided, a fight broke out between Agritheos and Pyroes. Luckily, Skye and Martheos were able to stop any further conflict. As Pyroes walked out, he made one single threat to Agritheos.

“You will suffer, Sister. I will never forget what happened tonight”. Pyroes then got on his Ghast Chariot and rode back to his dimension with Glixyl in cuffs.

In the centuries that came, factions were made to worship the gods.

Each god would have a designated faction. They would not work with that faction, but be a face for their followers.

Man was given the choice to follow one of the four gods at a price.

  • Agritheos the righteous, beautiful, and eldest.  Realm is the Land, they only kill unless when they are being raided or given the word of Agritheos.    They sacrifice valuable ores for prayer.

  • Pyroes the malicious, cunning, and extremely strategic. He has power over fire, lava, magma etc. He cares only for his followers, whom he shows a different side of his personality.  Their Realm is the Nether. they kill mercilessly. Anything besides their kin or allies is sacrificed for prayer.

  • Martheos the kind, gentle, and fabulous.  Their Realm is the Oceans.  They only kill for reason or unless they’ve been betrayed.  They bring peace and hate arguments. They sacrifice Prismarine Crystals for prayer.

  • Skye the creative and smart. He resides in the End. They kill only in raids, they are strategic battlers who only strike when necessary or under the command of their god.  They use Ender Eyes as sacrifice for their prayers.
