Ok so in todays random Modding tutorial i am going to show you how to edit the Minecraft Splashes!

/* What are Minecraft Splashes? */

Minecraft Splashes are the yellow text that randomly generates next to the Minecraft Logo!

/* Step 1 */

Mac: Go to | User/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin
Windows: Go to | %appdata%/minecraft/bin

/* Step 2 */

Mac: Un-Zip using default un-zipper if you are using OS X 10.6 or lower. If you are using OS X 10.7 then download The Unarchiver from the Mac App Store.
Windows: Un-Zip using a unzipping tool such as 7-Zip or Win-rar.

/* Step 3 */

Now you should have a Folder name minecraft if you un-zipped it successfully.
Go inside this folder and there will be all of the .class files! DONT FEAR! THIS TAKES NO CODING!
Locate the ' title ' Folder and go into it.

/* Step 4 */

Inside there will be the following files: bg ( folder, black.png, credits.txt, earlyplayers.txt, mclogo.png, mojanglogo.png, splashes.txt and finally win.txt. Now the file we are going to be editing is SPLASHES.TXT
Open this up in Text Edit or Notepad or any other program that can read the simple txt format.

/* Step 5 */

Now you are inside the splashes.txt delete all of the current splashes. And hit save! Then you add in what you would like it to say in your own splashes! For example: STOP SOPA, SAVE MINECRAFT!
Once you have done, lets say over 5 you are ready to go! Hit save once more and go back into you minecraft bin folder where your un-zipped minecraft folder is.

/* Step 6 */

Now rename the minecraft.jar to minecraft1.jar making sure its not active. Now go to your minecraft folder and re-name it to minecraft.jar If you have done this correct it should stay a folder only with the .jar extension.
Now launch you Minecraft Client and test your custom splashes!

/* Next Time... */

In the next Modding Tutorial i will be showing you how to install MCP for Mac and Windows! This will be the same for and MCP version or Minecraft Version as it has always been the same install method. We will also be doing it in 2different versions:

1. Without Mods ( For hardcore Java programmers )

2. With Mod Loader and AudioMod ( For average / upcoming Java programmers

So what i will do is at the Bottom of the Post i will shortly explain the Other option. OR i will just add a //* for when im referring to Verison 1 etc...

So thats all for #2! Cheers, Jordy - The Minecoder | Chromeleaf Designs.

So simple, I understand it fully, yet something (probably WinRaR) is messing it up, so instead of complaining, I'll just be patient and wait for the YouTube video's to come out. (+Diamonds anyway)
