The room is quiet. Everyone is asleep. The moon is shining through the small window on the left, illuminating the landscape beyond. Suddenly one of the blankets flies to the floor, and the sound of panting fills the room. It slowly fades, and the figure left there gets up. The wooden panels creak as the figure walks slowly over to the small door. It mutters something to itself, but judging by the tone of voice, it was scared. It turned the knob and disappeared into the shadows of the hallway outside. Another child rises soon after the other left. This one seems to be female. She rubs her eyes, and slowly turns to get up. She took note of the empty bed, and briefly looked around the room. She shrugged, but decided not to go back to sleep. She walks over and opens the door, stepping into the hallway. The shadows here are unnerving, as now there is no moonlight to give it a soft glow. She lets her eyes adjust, and takes a right, toward what looks like another bedroom. As she nears it, she can hear voices, one adult and one child. "I-I'm telling you Ridge, it was him! I promise you!" The girl inclined her head curiously. "Mal, it was just a dream. Calm down before you wake everyone," he glanced at the door, knowing someone was out there. "Come in!" The girl hung her head a little, and pushed the door open. She cursed herself for not being more careful. "Sorry Ridge," she said. "I woke up to see Mal was gone, and came looking." She decided it would be better to explain before she got a lecture from him. He made a dismissive gesture, and stepped aside so there was room for her. He gave her a small grin. "I'd be prepared for tomorrow, Lou. You and I both know the lecture never stays away." She glared at him. "So what did I walk in on, hmm?" she asks, refusing to acknowledge him. Ridge glanced at Mal and then back at her. "That's a question for him to answer." She sighed and nodded. "Mal, care to explain?" "Well, I had this dream.." Lou looked at him in mock surprise. It was Mal's turn to glare. "AS I WAS SAYING, I thought I saw Raggakh." This had Lou's eyes widening for real this time. Ridge intervened before she could reply. "It was probably just a dream," he told them. They both looked back at him, fear and suspicion visible in their eyes. "Listen guys, it's late. I don't even know why were discussing this. Go back to your beds and go to sleep," he glanced to see if they were listening. "Or I will send Raggakh after you myself." They both nodded, and turned to leave. Ridge turned, as listened as their footsteps went down the hallway. He collapsed in his desk chair, head on hands. "And here I thought he had finally left us," he muttered.
