Whats a director's dream on youtbe? Is it to become famous? Probably. Today I'm going to show you how to help fade the scar that we all bear on youtube. This is merely a small collection of usefull tips and clever tricks that can help your chances of becoming more famous!
1. Tags: using a vast variety of related tags is a great way of upping your chances to have you video appear in a related youtube search. I've done a small, 2 hour study and have concluded that using a large list of related, original tags can increase your chances of seach appearence by up to 14%!
2. Make popular content. This may confuse people, considering this is a tutorial on how to get popular in the first place. What I mean by this is make content about something thats popular now, perhaps a new minecraft adventure map, or a new song you've written and sung out.
3. Don't steal ANYTHING! This may seem obvious, but stealing something as little as someone's tags is not only against the youtube terms of service, but it also tarnishes your reputation, and brands you as desperate, and unoriginal.
4. Invest in your video creating skills. What I mean by this is, get a non-free editing software, purchasing a good computer, or getting a high quality microphone or camera.
5. Collaberate with friends. Having your friends become interested in your operation is one of the most helpfull things you can do. They can do little things like advertise your channel, subscribe to you, and get your like counter up. To bigger things such as being your partner in a lets play, or managing your channel for you.
6. Do not advertise your channel desperatly. What this is, is not advertising your channel with some sappy comment on a bluexephos video or some other popular youtube video(s). This may work for getting maybe 20 or so subcribers, but you also have 50 more people feeling sorry for how desperate you are.
I hope these little tips help your directing, if you'd like to see my tips in action visit my youtube channel youtube.com/user/spartan11733433 Happy hunting everyone.
Appo24 also gives his good advise stating: "Secondly, edit your vids! Intros, outros and non copyrighted music adds a lot to a video. And people notice this. Make sure the video ends in a logical way. AKA don't end it in the middle of a sentence. A lot of video producers don't seem to do this surprisingly. Subbed because this blog is great for new youtube producers and even current ones."
