Well, I wanted to write about something that's been sort of bugging me so yay.
I've seen a lot of people asking 'how do I get popular', 'why don't people like my stuff', 'why can't I get on the pop reel' and yada yada. Obviously they aren't asking me because I would probably tell them to shut up but now I've decided to write about my opinions nicely.
Alright. The key to enjoying PMC and maybe getting more views is...
TIME AND EFFORT.
Yup, you heard me, it's not spamming advertisements, it's not begging for diamonds, and it certainly isn't plagiarism. It's putting in time and effort!
I wanted to share with ya'll just how important I think time and effort are.
Being creative is fun (except in that one video but don't mention that because it's terrifying), you get to express yourself and enjoy what you are doing! Hopefully others enjoy it too!
However, what is the point of making something if you are just speeding through it? This is something I don't understand about a lot of people on PMC. You see copied and spammed stuff everywherebut was it enjoyable at all? Is it fun to spend 5 minutes on a piece of crap? Is it enjoyable to just spam and steal other people's work?
Nope. That doesn't sound fun at all.
For me, and a lot of others on PMC, it's so much more rewarding to post something that you've spent a lot of time and effort on. I love writing, skinning is fun too. I think it's fun because I get to come up with an idea and then spend an hour or two making it just how I want.
When I post it on PMC I feel great knowing that I have just contributed something I've spent a lot of time in and put a lot of effort in. You don't get that same feeling when you just post something you've spent, I don't know, ten minutes on. When you don't put as much effort into something it shows, and it doesn't feel too good knowing you could have done so much betterif you took your time and did it just for enjoyment, not for diamond spam.
Do you think the popular people on PMC got high in level because they spent 10 minutes on stuff? No way! (Ok, there probably are exceptions but I'm not naming anyone.) They get on the pop reel because they've spent a lot of quality time and effort in their stuff! (Ok, not everything on the pop reel always looks like that but that majority does) Do you think Nic Cage only gives 50% in his movies? No way! He puts in all his effort!
When you spend time and effort in your work it looks a lot better, even if you just started uploading! We can tell who actually cares about what they make and those that just want diamonds.
Newsflash: If you put time and effort into your work you will get a lot more positive feedback and *gasp* diamonds than if you fly through it. For some reason, people think that maybe if they just upload a lot of spam they'll be able to level up faster. Nope. If you upload quality stuff, even if it takes you a long time to make, people will like it more than rushed crap.
I know some people here think 'but I do put in a lot of effort and still no one looks at my content!' Well that my friend is where timecomes in.
No one got super popular over night, it takes timefor people to notice how great your content is. So if you really want to get popular on PMC put time and effort in your stuff and eventually people will notice you.
Also, just keep improving and stuff. #ifyoubelieveyoucanachieve
Not only does putting in time and effort make yours' a good contribution to the community, you also feel better about yourself! If you can tell me that you always put in a ton of effort and quality time on your uploads, then you deserve a pat on the back by Nicholas Cage. Keep it up!
So yeah, if you keep wondering 'why am I not popular' just put more effort and time into your stuff and pretty soon people will start noticing how great your content is!
But seriously, you don't need to be popular on PMC to enjoy PMC, if you take pride in how much time and effort you put in your stuff then the website will be enjoyable. If you are a spammer, copier, or someone that spends barely any time creating stuff, then this website isn't going to but fun for you.
So again, put time and effort into your content and then you'll be happy and I'll be happy and everyone will be happy yay! Even Nic Cage will be happy but he's mine so don't get any ideas.
