  The wreckage of the missing H.E.S. Light Dropspace Carrier was found in orbit of ████ (located within the ███ System). Brief analysis of the wreckage suggests that the craft experienced a catastrophic power system failure, most likely due to poor control of the craft by inexperienced H.E.S.T.F. units during dropspace travel. Members of the search party described the wreckage as being "nearly unrecognizable," and were only able to identify it by the engine's exhaust trace signature. All onboard crew and all units of H.E.S. Task Force #0390 are presumed dead. A salvage crew has been dispatched to collect any valuable remains of the wreckage.

  On ██/██/██, ███:███, a remote mining operation on the recently colonized planet of █-████ (located within the █████ System) was attacked by a derelict spacecraft. The craft destroyed one mobile mining platform and heavily damaged a second platform using high caliber kinetic weapon fire. The craft also dropped several handwritten notes onto the mining crew with various messages containing rather explicit and crude humor. Shortly after the attack, the craft left the planet and entered dropspace. No miners were killed in the attack, however, the operation cannot continue until new mining rigs are deployed. After reviewing surveillance footage, the craft was identified as the NCC New Canada, an outdated warship that saw military use as a blockade runner for the West Gaian Navy during the Colonial Martian Revolution. The identity and motives of the party behind the attack are currently unknown. Due to the nature of early dropspace-capable military craft, tracking is virtually impossible, and as such, no search party has been deployed. A small military outpost will be constructed at the █-████ mining site to defend it from any further attack.
