Transgender Day of Visibility is a day to raise awareness of discrimination, celebrate the lives of transgender people, and celebrate the achievements made in society by transgender people.

As a transgender person myself, I find it incredibly important to remain strong and persevere as people like me are prosecuted and discriminated against harshly all around the world. Educating others may be a way to prevent much of the discrimination towards transgender people.


REMINDER THAT NON-BINARY IS INCLUDED IN THE TRANS UMBRELLA SO I AM REFERRING TO THEM AS WELL AS -GENDERQUEER, GENDERFLUID, DEMIBOY, DEMIGIRL, TWO-SPIRIT, BIGENDER, PANGENDER, AND MANY MORE!


A woman named Rachel Crandall-Crocker decided to make a Facebook post one day to try and get people to come together and organize festivities in their hometowns -which was later a day named 'Transgender Day of Visibility'.
After celebrating Transgender Day of Remembrance for many years, she had decided that Transgender Day of Visibility would be a day to celebrate the living!
Soon Transgender Day of Visibility was celebrated worldwide by millions with community gatherings, panels, and celebrations (all sporting the transgender flag colors :D)
It quickly became a day that helped transgender people feel comforted knowing that there were others like them going through the same things, good or bad, every day.

This day is a reminder that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Even if you are still in the closet, know that you are NOT alone and you ARE loved!

You are all loved and special and just as important as the other people in this world!

We are survivors!

We are loved!

We are not alone!

We are here and on this earth!
