Trouble installing mods

Well recently I have tried to install a minecraft mod and whenever I install 7zip it doesnt work Basically its the TooManyItems mod and I have seen so many awsome creations that have been made with the mod! Plus some mods are so complicated they might even require the TooManyItems mod! Basically can somone send me a message telling me how to install a mod?

Or, if you are using 7zip, use this.

BACK UP YOUR MINECRAFT.jar

Step 1. Download Toomanyitems for the current release of minecraft you are using.

Step 2. Go into the .minecraft folder, double click on "Bin" then, once in the bin, right click on minecraft.jar, then hit 7zip -> open with 7zip.

Step 3. Delete the META-INF file.

Step 4. Open the Toomanyitems folder.

Step 5. Drag the items FROM the toomanyitems folder INTO the minecraft.jar

Step 6. Close everything you had open.

Step 7. Run Minecraft. Log in.

You now have the toomanyitems mod!

BACK UP YOUR MINECRAFT.JAR



1. Download TMI (Too many items)

2. get WinRAR

3. Open TMI

4. Goto your .mincraft folder and open bin

5. Right click your Minecraft.jar and open with WinRAR

6. Highlight and drag all the stuff from TMI into the minecraft.jar

7.Delete META-INF

8.Start Minecraft

9.Profit
